Yoga is much more than stretching! How??? Wait till you hear this episode!! From finance to fitness! This mum to 4 children, now between mid 20’s and teens is herself the youngest of 5. Jan @yogawright has a corporate background in finance & insurance. She started to feel the effects of a mostly sedentary lifestyle; weight gain, low energy and a general feeling of having lost myself.
Her wonderful siblings introduced her to yoga and she quickly became immersed in a regular practice. She felt transformed on and off the mat and wanted to share this power of yoga with others. So in her mid 40’s, decided to retrain as a Yoga Teacher. In Hatha, vinyasa & hot yoga along with 40hrs in Yin yoga & Meditation.
She currently teaches at a local studio; when not in Lockdown nut also does, online group and private classes. When she's not on the mat, she's usually cooking up a storm in the kitchen, with a glass of wine or on the battlefield, also known as family game night!
Nearly 18 years ago, just 8 months after her first baby was born, Nicola had an idea, and 'Tallulah' (The Lingerie Boudoir) opened her doors for business- no planning just like everything else in Nicola's life- it was all just meant to be.
In this episode, we talk about how being made to feel shame was the driver for female empowerment and that Lingerie can transform how we feel about ourselves. Nicola recalls one customer in the early days 'Opened the curtain like she was on a stage and I remember that feeling, it gave me goosebumps.'
