People all over the world long for peace but how is peace achieved? The Apostle Paul gives instructions for the church at Corinth that if followed, will lead to peace with one another. Jesus calls his church to care for each other through times of suffering, times of rejoicing, and all times in between. What is love? In our current culture love is about feelings and the pursuit of making ourselves feel happy. Biblically, love is less about how we feel and more about what we do; the daily actions of our lives. Jesus calls us to love one another and gives us examples through his life of what actions this love looks like. Are you loving people in order to be loved or in order to be poured out?

I want to love myself. I need to love others. Today's message looks at the biblical command that we "serve one another." This follows Jesus command that we love our neighbor as ourself. Most people nod their head at this truth but living it out is very difficult. Why? Because my comforts and desires don't want to be inconvenienced by the needs of others. "You have to EARN my respect." This statement is at the center of a secular worldview on the subject of "Honor." And it is completely backwards from a biblical worldview that gives respect freely because it has been given to every human at the very moment of their conception. Why do we give honor? And how do we outdo one another in giving honor? Pastor Seth Winterhalter answers these questions in today's sermon.
