Have you ever wondered how someone becomes a pastor? Who can be a pastor and what does a pastor really do? We explore these questions and more as we continue our series in the book of 1 Timothy as Paul gives Timothy a list of qualifications to guide him as he selects the primary leaders of the church in Ephesus.

Today, we tackle one of the most controversial passages of Scripture, specifically in the hype-feminist culture of the 21st century. What are the roles of men and women in the church? Are women less than men? Where does identity, worth, and value come from? Must I earn dignity and respect? The Apostle Paul addresses these questions in his letter to the church in Ephesus and God speaks to his people in all times and in all places.

In this passage of Scripture, we look at seven insights Paul gives to Timothy about the mission of God, his calling to this mission, and the mindset and tools needed to engage this mission. Are you engaging the mission of God today? Perhaps you are the mission of God and he's calling you to respond? How is your past holding you back from the future God is calling you into?
