What are the sacred things in your life that you have misused? Pastor Jeff teaches that the most sacred thing that people misuse is their bodies. When you fail to take care of your body, which is a gift from God, you can become spiritually distant from God. Taking care of your body, and watching what you put into it, is a form of worship to God. It’s a sign that you are a good steward of the gifts you have been given. Belshazzar was a poor steward of his body, and of the Temple vessels his grandfather had taken.
You don’t just owe some part of your life to God, you owe Him everything! The entire world around you is His creation, His dominion. Pastor Jeff teaches that when you fail to give God praise and glory for the glory of His creation, He will not look on you with favor. In fact, that is why Nebuchadnezzar was struck with madness, because he believed that he himself was responsible for the glory of Babylon, instead of realizing that its prosperity and power were signs of God’s favor.
One of the great mysteries of God’s character is that He exists outside of time. He knew how the world was going to end while He was creating it. Everything that has happened in the past, is happening now, and has yet to come, is all known by the Lord from the beginning of time. Pastor Jeff teaches you today that the gift of prophecy gives you a sneak peek into the way God sees all of Creation. When you are fearful of the future, be assured that God isn’t surprised by your struggles or worries.
When it seems like you are facing the worst trial of your life, God may just be moving behind the scenes to set you free. In today’s message, Pastor Jeff shows how God intervened and saved Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego from the fiery furnace, while the ropes that bound them were burned to a crisp. God may not decide to save you from every trial you face, but you can be assured that regardless of the trials you face, your final destination will always be Heaven, in God’s presence forever.
If you’ve been paying attention to the American culture over the last few decades, you’ll see that there has been a shift away from Godly living among most of the population. Now more than ever, there are people who think that being religious at all is a sign of hatred. Pastor Jeff reminds you today that your struggle isn’t against flesh and blood, and that your rescue won’t come from any man. Only God can rescue you from the culture that opposes you, His presence is your safe haven from the struggle.
In your walk with Jesus, have you surrounded yourself with a body of believers? Have you made an effort to make sure your friends are walking in His ways? In today’s message, Pastor Jeff wants you to know that if you want to see yourself mature into the person that God wants you to be, you need to start listening to the right influences. As harmless as some of the world’s wisdom may seem, it’ll serve to slowly and painfully ruin your life. Remain committed to the only thing that will last: eternity with Jesus.
Have you ever felt hindered by the Lord? Have you ever felt like God is ruining your plans instead of the other way around? Today, Pastor Jeff shows you that if you want to experience growth like never before and be a new creation like you desire to be, let God wreck you with His plans. The moment you choose His plans for your life is the moment that your life begins to bear fruit again. Don’t dwell in your mediocrity and make an impact for God’s kingdom. Sacrifice yourself to Jesus, just as He did for you.
If you watch how people act in public, you can usually tell what they worship. If someone’s attitude is always about getting money or hitting a new personal best at the gym, you’ll see the fruit of that worship in how they treat others. Pastor Jeff reminds you today that false gods aren’t the only idols that you may worship in your life. Money, political power, and even the pursuit of popularity in Christian culture can all become idols if they overshadow your worship of God. He deserves all your praise.
Do you wish you knew more about how God is going to resolve the world’s problems? Wouldn’t it be easier to go through life knowing how everything is going to pan out? Well, Pastor Jeff reminds you today that it’s not your job to know how and when things are happening. In fact, only God has the full picture of what is going on in the world. Your job, as difficult as it may seem, is to rest in the promises God has given you and have faith that everything will come to pass just as He said it would.
Is the God you serve a real God or a figment of your imagination? You’d better figure that out while you still have time because Pastor Jeff reminds you that every other god besides the one true God is a false one, and they will leave you high and dry when you need them the most. Instead, look at the example of Daniel, who had been given the power to interpret King Nebuchadnezzar’s dream by the God of Israel. His faith in God set him apart from all of the king’s mystics and gave him the ability to gain a position of privilege in the king’s court.
