Do you remember what your life was like before you knew Christ? Did you feel the pull that Jesus had on your life, the people that He placed in your path to lead you to a relationship with Him? Well, Pastor Jeff wants you to know that you may be part of God’s plan to bring someone else into the flock of Christ. You can’t know how or when it’s going to happen, but the important thing is for you to be open and willing to obey God when the time comes. He will prompt you through the Holy Spirit.
Have you ever had a puppy follow you around everywhere you go? Even when you try to use the bathroom or leave the house, the puppy never wants to leave your side. Well, Pastor Jeff teaches you today that in many ways, Jesus pursues you like an affectionate pet, but instead of Him needing something from you, He stays with you because you need something from Him. The presence of Jesus is what fuels the Christian life, what allows you to be a faithful follower even in challenging times.
Nowhere in Scripture does it say that the Christian life is going to be easy? In fact, there are many examples in the Bible of people suffering and even dying for their faith. But Pastor Jeff reminds you today that God gives you the strength to not only endure the trials but to thrive and even grow because of them. When you are weary and beaten down by the world, remember that God is on your side, and look to Him for relief. He doesn’t promise an easy path, but He does promise to be your helper.
Of all the religions in the world, there is only one that worships a living, breathing God: Christianity. Even when there’s a living prophet or “guru,” they themselves always die. Today in his message, Pastor Jeff wants you to know that if you want to worship a God who’s alive and never passing away, give your heart to Jesus. There’s no prophet, statue, or golden plates from the forest that will save you, only the perfect grace of God can. Let Him save you from yourself and be set free from your past.
Have you been comfortable with sitting on the sidelines? Have you been getting used to waiting in the wings instead of putting in the work for God’s kingdom? In today’s message from Pastor Jeff, he shows you the dire importance of being on the field for Jesus. He doesn’t want the army reserves, He wants active soldiers, battle-tested in the spiritual trenches. Change the trajectory of your life by being intentional about God’s gospel. Stop waiting for things to change and alter the course of your life right now.
Do you have the courage to lay down your life for the Gospel? Well, Pastor Jeff thinks it’s a pretty difficult thing for anyone to be willing to do. But the courage that Jesus gives you is strong enough to overcome any punishment or consequence mankind can dream up. Fear comes from the enemy, and Satan would like no more than for you to cower and hide away from opposition, so that your light may be hidden. But Jesus wants your light to shine bright in a dark world, no matter the cost or danger.
What does Pastor Jeff mean when he calls the Bible a great sword but a terrible club? It means that Scripture is great for teaching and correction, but shouldn’t be used for personal arguments or to win an argument out of anger. God’s word is much too valuable to be used to tear down your neighbor. Rather, you should be going into God’s word alongside your neighbor, and finding ways to build each other up. Your fight isn’t against flesh and blood but against the forces of evil.
Are you ever typing something on your phone, and notice that your phone is suggesting the next word that you would usually type? Sometimes you can keep selecting the recommended word until you have a complete sentence. Well, Pastor Jeff reminds you today that humans have a tendency to complete other people’s thoughts when in an argument. But you may assume the worst of their words before they even say anything, and make the argument even worse than it was going to be.
Your communities are a valuable target to the forces of evil. Satan would love nothing more than to infiltrate every single group of godly people and drive wedges between all of them, isolating believers and making them more likely to fall away from the path of righteousness. But Pastor Jeff gives you the tools today to not just identify Satan’s tactics, but how to fight back against the armies of hell. With the Holy Spirit on your side, you can be certain that Satan is fighting a battle that is already lost.
Did you know that even though you are saved, the Devil is still trying to control you? He is a tricky being and is always looking for windows by which he can sow doubt and confusion in your heart. Pastor Jeff teaches you today that unforgiveness is one of Satan’s most successful strategies, and that it has led to so much division and confusion in the Church throughout history. But by practicing forgiveness toward your neighbor, you can catch the devil in the act and shut him out of your heart.
