Kane had wanted the situation resolved before Tottenham’s opening fixture of the Premier League season at Brentford on Sunday. He is known to have enjoyed life under new Spurs head coach Ange Postecoglou and had been leaning towards staying, but has now opted to leave his boyhood club.
