What is a disciple?

For Christians (in community) this refers to learning the teachings of Jesus in the scriptures and following His example in obedience through the power of the Holy Spirit. Discipleship not only involves the process of becoming a disciple but of making other disciples through teaching and evangelism.

In order for discipleship to happen we must be in a community of believers. In order to fulfill and live in obedience to scripture we must be a part of a community of believes in order to be disciples.

A disciple is a follower of Christ. Someone that submits to His word, his teaching, seeks to apply and live out God’s word in life and therefor simultaneously maturing in their relationship with God and being His hands and feet.

Culture seeks to create weak people.

Culture is constantly feeding this message of go with what we say, those in authority know more than you, trust your feelings and that will lead you into all truth, do not seek wisdom or investigate- trust what the constant message says and take it at face value.

There is nothing in culture that teaches strength, honor, wisdom, character, or standing up for what is right and just. You won’t find it, why? Because culture seeks to create a weak society.

What makes rebellion righteous?

Daniel is a man committed to God in life, conduct and prayer. He was such a faithful man that other people in governing authority had to make a law against Daniel in the area of prayer, because they knew Daniel was so faithful that he’d never stop praying.

Understand that righteous rebellion is when the kingdom of earth is trying to take place of the kingdom of heaven and you choose to submit to the kingdom of heaven.

They refuse. They are called in for question, have you ever been asked a blunt question and you start to understand the reality of the situation and that the question carries consequences with it but you are forced to remain true in your answer? This is that moment.

We are not talking about political principles, we are talking about Biblical principles.

What makes rebellion righteous?

There are times throughout history where Christians are labeled as enemies of the state, they are seen as rebels, and they are told to bow down to worldly standards and give up their biblical standards, to stop preaching the name of Jesus, to turn away from the gospel message of repentance and putting ones faith in Jesus.

It is in these moments where it is the duty of every Christ-follower to rebel against such demands and take a stand in righteousness.

But often there is a counter argument that says no, Christians are obedient in all things to all things. And more often than not the first scripture to be quoted is Romans 13.

Men are Men, women are women. Both equally valuable. Both equally important. But we are not the same.

Men and women are created differently than one another and out of their uniqueness they compliment one another because they can accomplish things that the other gender cannot.

The gender that God has given you is the perfect one for you.

Genders are not the same, they are beautifully different and unique.

God’s plan for your life includes the biological gender that He’s given you.
