Today’s guest, Mickey Burns, is an iconic television talk show host, producer and author from New York City, whose immensely successful, award-winning interview program, “Profiles”, is currently ranked at number 8 on the Hollywood 411 List of the Top 50 Talk shows in the World.  

 

After a successful broadcasting career with a number of television networks, he created his unique interview program, “Profiles”, in 1999, and has interviewed well over 500 prominent celebrities, including Christopher Plummer, Robert Wagner, Carol Channing, Smokey Robinson, Joan Collins, Dick Cavett, Joan Rivers, Isaac Hayes – and believe me, I’m just scratching the surface.  

 

His TV show, which airs on the NYC Media Network in New York, has won 7 Telly Awards, and those awards are so well deserved, because this man is renowned for his research, insightful questions, compassion and sincerity.  Our guest was honored with the Outstanding Alumni Award from his alma mater, Missouri Valley College, which also bestowed an Honorary Doctorate upon him in 2012.   

 

He’s also written 2 books:  a fascinating memoir entitled, “From the Projects to Profiles”, and a beautiful coffee table book entitled, “Inside Celebrity Profiles: A Visual Journey”, which is filled with photos, quotes and fun facts from the set of his show, featuring some of his most illustrious guests.
