Today’s special guest, Lucero, is a Latin American superstar – a multi-platinum singer, songwriter, actress and TV host, who first took Mexico by storm at the age of 10, as a popular television performer.     

She’s recorded 33 albums, and sold over 30 million records worldwide, including “Lucerito”, “Cerca de Ti”, “Mi Destino”, “Un Lujo”, “Enamorada con Banda”, “Piel de Angel”, and my favourite, “Un Lucero en la Mexico”.  Some of her greatest hit songs here in America are “Vete con Ella”, “Cuéntamé”, “No Me Hablen de El”, “Corazon a la Deriva”, “Veleta”, “Era la Primera Vez”, “Electricidad”, and my personal favourite, “Siempré Contigo”.    

She’s starred in 9 movies, including “Escápaté Conmigo”, “Zapáta”, and the highly acclaimed “Fiebré de Amor”, co-starring fellow Latin superstar Luis Miguel.  She’s also starred in 10 telenovelas, including “Chispita”, “Quando Llega el Amor”, “Los Parientes Pobres”, “Lazos de Amor”, “Mi Destino Eres Tu”, “Manyana es Para Siempre”, and many more.   

Our guest has hosted the Latin Grammy Awards 8 times.  And she’s won more TV-Novelas Awards than any other actress, in addition to dozens of prestigious awards, including numerous lifetime achievement awards.  She is by far the most popular and successful entertainer in Mexico, and throughout Latin America, South America and the United States.
