We're more than just haunt builders, we're major haunt customers. It's one of our favorite things to do and we spend north of $1,000 per year just going to haunts.

But, as much as we love it, there are times that haunts kind of tick us off. Usually not intentionally, but they're things where, if the haunt had just done nothing, we would have been much happiier.

So, with that in mind, here are seven things you can avoid doing and keep us, as well as your other customers, very happy.

This week on Haunt Weekly, we're playing catch up as we cover all of the news we didn't get to cover in Episode 200 due to our anniversary celebrations.

And news we do have as it's the busy season for haunted attraction news. The multiple award-winning event ‘Horror Nights – Traumatica’ takes place in a post-apocalyptic world. In the immersive live story world, 5 factions all vie for control of Traumatica. The more you know about the world of Traumatica, the more immersed you can become. Visitors (minimum age 16) can experience their very own horror movie here.

During Horror Nights – Traumatica, visitors follow a trail through a darkened section of the park, where live actors, disguised and made up to scare them, jump out on them.

A choice of 5 haunted houses forming the main attraction await you, with all the attendant scary sound, lighting and other effects. Groups of visitors enter on foot and make their own way through the houses, each with a different theme.

“This isn’t just an old warehouse building in some downtown area. It's an actual fort with real buildings that give people a completely different haunt experience.” Those are the words of Matt Schanandore, Creative Director for Haunted Fort, which is a seasonal attraction that takes place every October at Fort Abraham Lincoln near Mandan, North Dakota. The site is a reconstructed military fort from the 1870s and is most famously known as the last home of General George Armstrong Custer before he headed out to the Battle of the Little Big Horn in 1876. Since that time, there have been stories of the ghosts at the Fort, including those of the General and his wife, Elizabeth. The haunted site and its spiritual denizens have served as the basis for Haunted Fort’s themes each year.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach is an amusement park situated along the Fylde coast in Blackpool, Lancashire, North West England.
Mikey and Hannah visit Blackpool Pleasure Beach for the Freak Nights Press Preview event. We find out more about this first time event and interview some of the creative minds behind it.

It is our 200th episode and, to celebrate, we're going through our entire library and highlighting the best of the best. Evac Scare Attraction returns to the National Emergency Services Museum in Sheffield on Fri 11th October 2019 - Sat 12th October 2019.

For nearly half a decade all had been quiet at the Museum, until in the dead of night the telephone rang! A dark, mysterious voice spoke just three chilling words. “They’re Back... Again.”

After four years the award winning Scare Attraction returns to the National Emergency Services Museum for 2 nights this October.

Everyone knows the legends and fables of Sheffield’s tunnels. The stories have been passed down from generation to generation, but through all those years some details have been forgotten; the reason why they were destroyed and who lived down there... Shapeshifters lurk in the shadows, only leaving the confines of the dark catacombs to pray on the innocent.

4 years ago a secret society, run by their leader “Evac October”, closed their portal to the world. After recent renovation work at the Museum, strange occurrences have been caught on CCTV in the night, with unexplained sightings of mysterious figures.

This October, try to escape the terrors hiding around every corner of the building in this fast paced Scare Attraction!.

It's been a rough few days around here. Earlier this week we learned that we have no choice but to cancel our 2019 season due to road construction and safety concerns.

This, obviously, has us gut wrenched and we were forced to throw away our planned episode this week and, instead, talk about this. So, if you don't want a bummer of an episode, skip this one or revisit any of the other 198 that we have.
