Haute Set

Our first live podcast episode! Recorded in May at PAX East in Boston. Thanks so much to everyone that came out to hear us talk a lot of nonsense about this movie! There's also video of our panel that you can find on youtube. We reference pictures of the characters a lot so if you want the full scope, check out the video.

Thanks friends! Stay tuned for Season 4 coming very shortly

The time has come. Like all things, eventually Franken-summer had to end. And so we leave you with this film- a classic coming-of-age tale about a simple girl. She's just figuring out who she is while on a bit of a murder spree to revitalize the corpse of a victorian dude that gets accidentally resurrected. We've all been there!!!

It has to be seen to be believed, so we recommend you see it.

Welcome to 1985- the hair is big and the celebs are bigger! We've got Sting and Jennifer Beals starring in this movie that *thinks* it's a feminist retelling of the Bride of Frankenstein. Join us as we examine those merits and spend more time talking about hair and skin than clothes to be quite honest.

Next up is this classic entry into the Frankenstein BODY of work. This film is a must for all Franken-o-philes. There's really not much to add, just hit play.

Join us! And don't forget the sunscreen, you're looking a bit green darling.

Welcome to podcast-land, where everything is bright, colorful, molded plastic. We always have perfect outfits with matching accessories and the perfect hair style. If the choice is between a flat (gag) beige birkenstock sandal, and a pretty sparkly pink pump, it's a no-brainer.

Thanks for joining us for season 3- The color explosion. Hope to see you in season 4.

Bye Barbie! Bye Ken!

This Korean historical drama pits the establishment and tradition against new artistic expression in clothing of the royal court. Being glamorous can elevate your social standing, it can also get you killed. But the real burning question of this movie is- how long does it take to make one of these outfits??? The human body can only move so fast.

Friends, this episode is simply unhinged. We are hop, skip, and jumping around this movie and it may or may not be coherent, that's not for us to say. This is Eiko Ishioka's final movie before she passed away so we had to cover it. But it's a weird one, and we decided to get weird. Happy listening HAGS!

Join us for this movie that neither of us really knew much about! It’s an interesting fantasy, fairy tale, horror, fable? The characters make lots of questionable life choices and also lots of fabulous costume choices. There are sea monsters, witches, ogres, fleas, acrobats, and a lot of blood. What more could we ask for? Oh, and John C Reilly.

Prepare for a epic battle- between podcast hosts! Ariel loves this movie and Melinda...not so much. But they can agree that the costumes are great.

We're re-releasing this episode because there's a lot going on this spring, and we love to fight.
