Join us today as we chat about the question that most first time moms are asked relentlessly: When is baby #2 coming? We discuss the motivations, hesitations, benefits, and everything in-between regarding having a second child, including where we currently are in the process of making the decision to go for round two.
Judgy much?? If you're anything like us, we love to people watch and are totally guilty of judging parents from afar before we ourselves became mamas. We had opinions about everything! We were also told by parents, "You just don't get it. Just wait..." And they were RIGHT!! We chat openly today about the parenting choices we totally judged pre-mamahood and how we now view the things we so casually judged previously.
Tune in as we chat about the realities of dealing with toddler tantrums, opinions and our thinning patience! The transition from babyhood to toddlerhood is bumpy to say the least, and sometimes we loose our cool, and we aren't afraid to be honest and share some of our not so proud moments of mamahood when we just reached the end of our rope. We talk about some of the things we have learned in regards to keeping cool, and calming our toddlers in the process. Remember mama, you ARE NOT alone in this because we are right along side you!
Tune in as we chat about the importance of selfishly taking ME TIME... and doing so without guilt. We discuss what things we do to unwind and take care of ourselves, as well as the stigmas around taking time to be by yourself. This is so important! We all know that moms work so hard to be there for their families and friends in every way, but in order for us to feel well enough to rise to that challenge day in and day out, we must make sure we also are taking care of ourselves!
It can be difficult to identify your strengths and weaknesses. Embrace your strengths and appreciate your weaknesses! Today we chat about our own personal strengths and weaknesses and how important it is to self-reflect, particularly when using those strengths and working through those weaknesses while pursuing passion projects. We'll share our words of advice based on what we wish we had considered when we first started our journeys. Give us a listen and let us know what you think!
Tune in today for a very special episode! Today we chat with the OGs themselves: our own moms! We talk about how things are quite different now than when they were pregnant with us: baby showers, technology, pediatric advice, milestones and so much more! It was such a joy to have these amazing women on to share with all of us their personal experiences, valuable advice, and hilarious stories. Happy Mother's Day!
When you hear the word "pivot" do you immediately hear Ross from Friends yelling as they try to move his couch upstairs? Life is all about the pivot! It's so important to be reflective, creative, and open-minded when pursuing passion projects. Today we chat about what we have learned working with our passion projects: the successes, the challenges, and the things we are still trying to figure out! We discuss what we are learning in our journeys and share some real-time advice based on our experiences thus far!
Today we have our dear friend, Emily Myrvold, with us to discuss her transition from corporate life to stay-at-home-mom life. She shares with us the factors she weighed, the decisions she made, and and the personal goals she pursued in her decision to stay at home with her son, Olsen. There is so much to consider when deciding whether or not to stay at home or at work and it is such a joy talking it through with Emily because she provides such a well thought-out and conscientious perspective.
Having our babies has radically altered our perspectives, priorities, and passions. We share about what, specifically, changed for us after welcoming Eli and Lola, what we had to sort through emotionally, and how we have emerged as new moms with determination to do what makes us happy. Having a MOMent, Beach Body, and LuLaRoe have given us the MOMentum to feverishly pursue our personal goals, actively working to be the best versions of ourselves not only for our littles or our husbands, but also for OURSELVES.
Today we chat about the good, the bad, and the loud. We are actively trying to raise good humans by consistently and positively reinforcing their good behaviors, while also navigating the mine field of modifying negative behaviors. There are so many theories and tips out there for parents, so it can be hard to weed through it all. We discuss what our littles are currently doing (the good and the ... challenging) and we share our successes and obstacles thus far working with our little ones' behaviors.
