The news broke on Sunday that Kirk Ferentz is hiring Tim Lester as his new offensive coordinator, and it caused a mixed reaction.

Some fans were less than pleased with the hire since Lester had been fired as the Western Michigan head coach following the 2022 season, and because Syracuse struggled with Lester as its play caller for 19 games in the 2014 and and 2015 seasons, finishing just 5-14 in those games.
