And there was plenty to talk about on Monday Hawk Fanatic radio show and podcast as Iowa crushed Illinois State 40-0 in the season opener this past Saturday at Kinnick Stadium.
Iowa quarterback Cade McNamara threw three touchdown passes, while true freshman receiver Reece Vander Zee caught two of them.
Running back Kaleb Johnson also ran for two touchdowns and had over 100 rushing yards despite not playing in the first half.
But now comes a much more daunting task next Saturday with Iowa State up next on Iowa's schedule.
