This week we go back in time with premiership Hawthorn ruckman Stephen Lawrence. Stephen reminisces about his career, reflects on some of his favourite moments and people in the game.

Steven, who was South African born, was picked up by the Hawthorn Football Club at the end of the 1987 season from Queensland. Stephen, in his 11 seasons at the Hawks, played 146 games including the 1991 premiership.

In this chat, Stephen talks about his early years at the Hawks, the premiership win in 1991, his great mate Paul Dear, representing Queensland in State of Origin, merger talks and having to reinvent himself with the arrival of Paul Salmon in the mid 90's.
