On יד אב 1941 , 5701 , the Frierdiker Rebbe recalled how, as a young boy, his father the Rebbe Rashab told him, “Begin recording the stories I tell you.” The Rebbe Rashab explained the Alter Rebbe’s teaching, “V’kaneh l’cha chaver” “Let the quill be your friend” ✒️ meaning not just the pen in your hand, but the quill of the heart ❤️. Writing Torah on paper preserves the words, but writing it in your heart preserves you. The real recording isn’t what fills our notebooks 📓 or devices 📱 it’s what becomes part of us, shaping how we think, feel, and live, engraving truth onto the soul ✨.

The way we treat others reflects back to us just like water reflects a face. 💧 The Alter Rebbe taught that true humility and selfless love have the power not only to change hearts ❤️, but to heal what was broken. ❤️‍🩹On this day, י׳ אב, as the flames 🔥 of the Beis Hamikdash still burned, we remember: it was destroyed because of baseless hatred 💔, and it will be rebuilt through love without conditions 🤝. That kind of love starts with us. 🌱

Can’t burn fats of animals with permanent blemishes on the altar.

🐑 No temporary blemished sacrifices

Can’t offer animals with temporary blemishes as sacrifices.

🚫 No blemished non-Jew gifts

Can’t offer blemished animals given by non-Jews as sacrifices.

💔 Don’t blemish consecrated animals

Can’t cause blemishes to animals designated for sacrifice.

💸 Redeem blemished offerings

Must redeem animals that develop blemishes, then they can be eaten.
