An *expedition* update, not a Haystacks update. -HK

That comment early on about working on my tan was intended to be ironic. -HK

IMPORTANT: I’m not necessarily talking about flipping this person’s energy over to something that I think serves my own purposes—I’m talking about flipping the energy so that this person becomes more positive to themselves, I think. I’m not sure about this, but I think humanity has its greatest capacity when humans are be able to be *themselves*. <>

The song I reference near the end is Baz Luhrmann's spoken word song, based on an essay by Mary Schmich:

Regarding the actual dimensions and appearance of the person behind Haystacks, it’s a bit out of date, but this is how one aspiring artist portrayed me a few years ago:

Time managed to get a little flexible during a recent rash of episodes and updates, and I am aware of that fact, thank you. -HK

but perhaps YOU are?

Gaudí and I have been doing some discussing about new versions of "Do Not Destroy" recently, and this is what we arrived at. (Gaudí must've been the one singing the "yahoos" and making the metronome noises in the middle of this recording, btw, because that certainly wasn't me🤷‍♂️)

Say, do you happen to know of anybody else going on this expedition who makes versions of "Do Not Destroy" by Cicada Rhythm? Like, besides me? Hint: You might have a lot of things in common with them (like a name, a body, and a perspective)😉

[This recording will serve as the intro music for future Expedition Update episodes, but I'm not going to go back and edit it in to all of them because, well, frankly, it’s not worth my time right now, and also because it'll be good for you to start learning to pull your own weight. -HK]
