The premiere of HBO's Lanterns, a DC Universe series described as a superhero cop show in the style of True Detective and featuring John Stewart and Hal Jordan, has been pushed from early 2026 to late summer 2026. This announcement came from HBO and HBO Max CEO Casey Bloys, and it will shift the DCU's release schedule, placing Lanterns as a central release in a packed few months that will also include the horror film Clayface. Currently, only a first-look image of stars Aaron Pierre and Kyle Chandler, along with some casting details including Ulrich Thomson as Sinestro and Nathan Fillion reprising his role as Guy Gardner, have been revealed.
