Do you understand the God you know? You know God through His Son, Jesus Christ the Savior. You are a spiritual person. You know you’re going to heaven. But if you are going to grow spiritually, you must come to understand the God you know. “We learn about these things, not with words taught us by human wisdom, but those taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual things to spiritual people” (1 Cor 2:12-13). This is spirituality - growing in grace and knowledge and understanding. God gives you the Holy Spirit so you can know the grace assets you’ve been given. You are in the family of God. You have the Holy Spirit living in you. But if you have unconfessed sin in your life, you are not spiritual in your experience because you have grieved and quenched the Holy Spirit.
