Head Cannon

Brent and Corey welcome back writer, friend, and Colonel Seaman Emily Goodson to discuss 2005's The Descent, hot possums, dating cavepeople in heaven, Emily's old curmudgeon era, the sociology of gender in horror movies, and the b*hole on Brent's family's property. Pour yourself a glass of wine, put your earbuds in, slide into your blood pool, and relax to the dulcet sounds of Head Cannon!

Brent and Corey welcome back brilliant actor and friend of the show Ryan Ruckman to discuss the only movie Stephen King ever directed - 1986's Maximum Overdrive, firing a crossbow from your kitchen, why Zack Snyder needs a mulligan on all of his movies, blinding your cinematographer, breathalyzing Colin Farrell every morning, and your childhood friend whose parents just let you watch whatever. You have to listen to this episode! We made you!

Brent and Corey welcome back filmmaker and regular guest Amber Ray Snyder for an episode that immediately flies off the rails and stays there as we discuss 1971's The Touch of Satan, what makes a chowder a chowder, Corey's master's thesis on Hot for Teacher, our prenatal connections to Dune, getting unwittingly drugged, and Amber's real-life paranormal investigations. Listen to this episode; it's where the fish live!

Brent and Corey welcome back filmmaker and coffee entrepreneur Noah Kinsey to discuss the 1980 slasher classic Friday the 13th, the progressive history of the board game Monopoly, how Brent got scammed out of his Papa John's Papa Dough, and Noah's new award-winning short, Lullaby. Listen to this episode while playing some good, old-fashioned strip Monopoly!

Brent and Corey welcome back film aficionado John King to discuss 1995's Kicking and Screaming, doomsday prepper survivalism, the perfect age to harvest jackfruit, Burt Reynolds fighting Marc Summers, comparing carbonated waters, and a little Indianapolis restaurant inside baseball. Bonus points if you're listening to this in Prague!

Brent and Corey welcome back Indy-based comedian Daryl Hollonquest to discuss 2022's The Blackening, your light-activated vibrator, U-God being the babysitter for your psychedelic trip, why Matt Rife is such a clown, and how to play Spades. If we got an invite to the cookout, we'd be honored, but we wouldn't go.

Brent and Corey welcome back Nicole Bruce to discuss 1974's Young Frankenstein, Nicole's annual, jaw-dropping 31 Days of Halloween make-up/prosthetic showcase, Corey being surrounded by Italians, Michael Jackson's real voice, how being 41 absolves you of any responsibility or limitations, and Matthew McConaughey being stuck between Corey's board games. Look, we're gonna be honest here. There's something wrong with the audio and it sounds like a little man is playing a kazoo whenever Brent or Corey speaks. It doesn't completely ruin the episode, but no hard feelings if you can't deal with it.

Brent and Corey welcome back Indianapolis comedian Sean Jones to discuss 1993's Cop and a Half, the comedy scenes in Indy and Chicago, Corey eating with Jon Lovitz, when white America realized they can get AIDS too, that movie where Gary Oldman plays a little person, going to the Home Alone house, and Chicago's secret prison ice cream museum. Wanna play swords?

Brent and Corey welcome back friend of the show Willow (AKA AubreyPesky) to discuss 1996's From Dusk Till Dawn, the decline of social media, our pubic hair situation, Brent's shady black market vape, when your sex work mask slips, and going to see Taylor Swift in concert. It's okay; our fictional girlfriend is black.

Brent and Corey welcome back beloved guest Anthony Pedersen (AKA Octopus/Caveman) to discuss 2010's Beyond the Black Rainbow, Peter Weller's love for Octopus/Caveman, how Brent is secretly a Decepticon, great fat directors, "stand your ground" insects, and the return of Alex Jones to Head Cannon. Join us on a psychedelic journey to enlightenment!
