That's exactly what happened to me back in 2002 when I decided to go on a week-long cruise alone, after being invited by a friend who later backed out. This journey turned out to be a transformative experience, filled with self-discovery and personal growth, as I navigated the highs and lows of potential romance with a fellow crewmember named Scut.
