The Reality of Easter calls us out of our tombs of isolation, of sin, of doubt and fear..  ‘behold I make all things new’. 

When Jesus entered Jerusalem, ’the whole city was shaken’.  As we enter Holy Week, its essential we acknowledge what separates us from our infant church of shaken disciples, the unshakable power of Easter Faith. 

In today’s gospel, Jesus arrives after the death of Lazarus, leaving Martha, Mary and Lazarus wondering where he was when they needed him most.  With all that it is happening in our world today, its fair to ask that question: “God where are you in all this?”.  

Why do we genuflect during the creed today vs bowing?  St. Bernard offers a little meditation why in his reflection: “The Whole World awaits Mary’s Reply”. 

Living in unprecedented times with the spread of the corona virus, is a call to arms, to prayerful intercession, and to develop the art of spiritual communion. 

How can the story of the Samaritan woman connect with our world that is increasingly becoming more isolated because of the spread of the corona virus.  Jesus’ encounter with this woman reveals for us a model for evangelization.  

After the Transfiguration the Disciples had to come down from that mountain top experience, and so do we.
