How do you verbally disarm a narcissist?

Bear in mind that a narcissist is crueller and more daring than you will ever be, and has spent years practising their put-downs and their gaslighting. So you are in an unfair fight.

The best way to deal with any narcissist is to close them down, rather than take them on. You avoid eye contact, you walk away when they try to talk to you (mumble an excuse if you must) , you tell them nothing, you look over their shoulder, you spend the absolute minimum time in their company.

It is not as dramatic as the piercing put-down you wish for- but is is absurdly effective. They thrive on attention, and conflict, and making others squirm, and having information they can use to wind you up or taunt you. Deprive them of all of that , and they don’t know what to do. They are left saying their clever put-down to fresh air.

be the kryptonite to any narcissist you ever come across- a superpower you wish you didn’t need,🙏🌸🙏☮️💫🌈

  • Narc SUPPLY ~& CONTROL= 💯

Got something to say to this podcast? Send a voicemail, and you might hear yourself on the next episode!

Why does a narcissist abuse the one closest to them and nobody else sees it?

    Control! 💯%

One of the character traits that make up a diagnosis of NPD, is (hidden insecurities and a weak sense of self)

. A fear of rejection and abandonment issues forces the narcissist to control every aspect of the emotional state of the partner, target, victim! It’s this fear of rejection that drives this manipulative behaviour. Attempts at keeping the victim in a state of constant isolation and abuse lowers the self esteem and confidence, making them much easier to manipulate so they won’t escape!

In my experience, all of this happens behind closed doors. The public persona of a narcissist is the polar opposite of what’s actually happening in the home. You often hear stories of Husbands/wives murdering their spouse, in what looks like a completely random and out of the blue attack. When the truth behind the story could easily be years of domestic abuse, in such subtle ways that the victim finally snaps.

    covert (malignant) narcissist.

Most happened behind closed doors, or on holiday

with years of experience) it’s all about control! Due to fear of the (supply) leaving!

I hope this helps, it’s wise to familiarise yourself self with all of these tactics as it may save your life and most definitely your sanity. I personally remind YOURSELF of the tactics and strategies used by these Vultures

  • Gray Rock ~&~ Keeping it Simple =

Got something to say to this podcast? Send a voicemail, and you might hear yourself on the next episode!

The gray rock method, also known as gray rocking, is a tactic used to deal with manipulative or abusive behavior.

The goal is to become uninteresting and unengaged so that the other person loses interest. Some say that the method reduces conflict and abuse.

    The method involves:

    • Being the most boring and uninteresting person you can be when interacting with a manipulative person
    • Deliberately avoiding eye contact
    • Not showing emotions during a conversation
    • Remaining neutral
    • Keeping interactions “trim and slim”
    • Avoiding sharing information that could potentially be turned against you

if the person continues to barrage you, you can have a few prepared statements ready,

such as “I am not going to respond to that”.

You can also keep your interactions as short as possible, and choose electronic communications, such as text or email

Over time, emotional abuse can wear down a person's self-worth, confidence, and their mental and emotional strength. It's difficult to feel sure of yourself when a partner is demeaning, dismissing, and second-guessing you constantly.

  • Fake Empathy ~ Narc Cracks -& Masks

Got something to say to this podcast? Send a voicemail, and you might hear yourself on the next episode!

narcissists are the masters of facade, but there are Cracks in their armor!

Narc ‘s just can't quite fake:

    • Genuine Empathy: Narcissists can mirror emotions and pretend to care, but true empathy, that ability to really understand and share your feelings? Nope. They're all about themselves, so deep down they just don't get it. Their apologies will feel hollow, and their attempts to comfort you might seem self-serving.
    • Accountability: Taking responsibility? Not a chance. Narcissists are all about blame-shifting and playing the victim. They'll twist situations to make it seem like it's your fault, or downplay any wrongdoing entirely.

Remember, these are just tendencies. A skilled narcissist might be able to feign these things for a short while, but over time the cracks will show

  • Loosing your Way After NARC ABUSE ~ ?

Got something to say to this podcast? Send a voicemail, and you might hear yourself on the next episode!

Because you lost you! The damage of not being seen & heard as a individual, then the day in & day out of invalidation, criticizing, ridiculing, belittling, being held with contempt and having your needs, wants, and feeling minimize…everything you say and do is controlled and little by little you lose yourself. You are told Overtly or Covertly that you don't make any sense and you can't do anything right and everything is wrong with you…you are just wrong and after enough time passes you start to question yourself then you start to believe it. You were dehumanize!

Narcissistic Abuse is no joke. It robs you of everything that makes you-you! You might be told that you laugh to loud and it is annoying, so you stop laughing so loud, but then, you find yourself not laughing at all. You are mocked for everything

You learn not to share good news to the narcissist because maybe you'll be mocked and it will be minimize or your good news will be met with some form of punishment. You learn not to share bad news because it will either be ignored or used against you at a later date. In time, you learn to make yourself small…not seen.

With all of that plus you are so confused from the push & pull of good days and bad days manipulation tactics, the Gaslighting, being blamed for everything that ever went wrong in the relationship and in the life of the narcissist and all the lying and the sheer disbelief that someone told you he/she loved you and that person betrayed your trust.

It is like being in the middle of the ocean on a small boat in a storm. The waves are so high you can't see pass them and it is raining with the wind just howling. Waves are hitting you from every direction and it's dark and the fog has taken over and you can't seem to find your way out. That storm is Narcissistic Abuse. As you come out of it the waves have calm down and the wind and rain has also calm down, but it is still very dark and the fog is still there. It takes time for the fog to lift and for the darkness to faded. It takes time to get your balance back. It also takes time for you to know yourself. You are not the same person who went into this relationship and you may never be that person again. Your view on yourself has change…how you think and look at other people has change…your world view has change. You are questioning everything you thought was true about the relationship…about yourself and about the world.

Who would ever imagine someone could torture another person and never lay a hand on them? Why would someone ever want to destroy a person who they claim to love?

We don't think they way they do and it never dawns on us that people can seem caring, kind, respectful, and loving could be a monster.

We are taught at a young age to stay away from strangers…to not get into cars with people we don't know, but no one taught us that there are people who will be caring, kind, helpful, seem loving and will be a family member…a friend…a partner and have lack of empathy that will make your life a living hell.

It takes time to find your way back to having a life that makes sense again. You have been through hell and give yourself some time and read that book because it has a lot of steps you can do to heal and to find yourself again
