Healthy Perspectives w/ Jeremiah

Tip of the day: When things no longer serve their intended purpose, we must explore their usefulness.

Today we ask some tough questions about the education department. We explore the intended purpose which was very easy to find (literacy, civic virtue and productive citizenship/workforce development). We explore the tax burden as well as what education has become in the United States. We also take a look at the role you have in changing the educational culture. We also thought this could be a good time to promote a video on YouTube we've used for years that could help paint the story a bit clearer as well. The following link is a five minute video on suing the school system.

Tip of the day: Empathy is the key and empathy isn't boundaryless

In this episode we turn back the clock. We spent a lot of time putting together episodes in the past that emphasize empathy and because of the recent Oval Office interaction between President Trump and Volodymyr Zelenskyy, we thought it was time to bring it back for today. Hatred is still the wrong answer and if you can't see that, you're the problem.

Watching or listening to this episode will break down ways to balance empathy and boundaries while remaining in REALITY. If we did this well, you will be irritated by what we say. Empathy creates discomfort in a lot of situations. Things like Trump's arrogance have to be acknowledged. Zelenskyy's blindness also has to be acknowledged. These are statements of judgment. They are facts that contribute to the picture of empathy. We can't empathize well if we don't function from a foundation of truth, authenticity and transparency.

We are not a political podcast. If you're looking for politics, you're in the wrong place. We address current issues within our culture to provide people processes that help them navigate the world in a more healthy manner.

Tip of the day: Ask more questions

Today we take a look at the lies built in to the medication process. From the insurance companies to the providers. We need to know how it all works. We also address the ethics of medicating anyone and what you can do to protect yourself from the medication delusion we live in.

Tip of the day: You are valuable unless you choose not to be

Today we take a look at the fear running through ordinary people because of government layoffs. We talk about whether you should be afraid or not. We also address what you can do if you don't like what is happening. We come at it from a clinical view of the cultural issue so you'll get empathy and some tough love parts. The clinical view doesn't push you to change others but to look at yourself and make the changes you need to make. If there was a theme for this podcast it would be work hard, find your talent or both.

Tip of the day: Design matters

Today we take a look at how understanding the design of things can help you see through people who think you're stupid and/or naive. This all stems from the argument about eggs still costing a fortune three weeks into the new administration. We share a bit about natural design versus man made design as well. Natural design can't be changed -- no matter what anyone tells you. Man made design can be changed but it's not an easy process most of the time.

Tip of the day: Consume content wisely

Today we put together a look at how to process content in 2025. We're not here to tell you what content or what to believe. Matter of fact, we stay away from morality for the most part in this episode. We focus on process, process, process. We look at it from a lens of healthy consumption. If you have ever wondered if there is a way to consume content in a healthy way, we provide you a process to get you started. Please share widely and help your friends and family consume content more wisely.

Tip of the day: Be careful with your 20%

Today we take a look at the Pareto principle and apply it to our recent history in the United States. We talk about propaganda, which is political marketing. We talk about what you can do to make a difference as well.

Tip of the day: Stop being lazy

Our hope is that every one of you will make a conscious effort to be less lazy. We also hope that you help others who are clearly too lazy to verify anything for themselves with a mark of sorts. This is were #AWOF comes into play. When people hide behind assertions as though they are facts, mark it.

Tip of the day: We ALL have influence!

Today we take a look at how influence works. There are two channels to pick from and it's not as complicated as you're often led to believe. We can buy into the hierarchical model of influence or the relational ( social influence ) model. One leads to failure without the other while one of them is a stand alone process of success. You'll have to listen if you want more. It's a small time commitment to listen to this one so we suggest you give it a try.

Tip of the day:   Ask more questions.

Today we explore ways to have conversations with unreasonable people while also addressing the wildfires in California, Donald Trump taking office, the Minnesota Vikings choking in the playoffs and Elon Musk making some funky gesture that people are comparing to Hitler.
