Healthy Perspectives w/ Jeremiah

Tip of the day: Carve a different path.

Today we take a look at the vultures who pounce on people who are naive about anything. We explain how the left and right in politics have the same mentality when they are in power and the same mentality when they're not. We also provide practical approaches to making this problem go away by carving a new path forward. You'll get real examples of mean people who are entitled and how they strive to keep themselves on top by pounding their chests and showing their friends how cruel they are.

Tip of the day: You are rarely an actual victim

Today we take a look at one of the most challenging disorders that's not even in the DSM(Disagnostic and Statistics Manual). We look at the oppressor/oppressed lens. We talk about rumination and the dysfunction it can cause when combined with the victim mentality. It's a dangerous combination. We also talk a bit about what you can do to make sure you don't get stuck in this pattern.

Tip of the day: Open your eyes, ears, and other senses.

Today we turn back to the You're the Problem format to explore the recent issues around Joe Biden and his cancer diagnosis. They are lying to you AGAIN! They want you to believe the people closest to Joe Biden are and have been "protecting" him. It's a lie. They have been exploiting him. We show you as we look at three episodes we did for you since June of 2023. That's right! 2023.

Tip of the day: Higher education broke our trust.

No matter how you look at education, we are in new territory. As someone who values education immensely, Jeremiah explores a couple angles where higher education has taken the trust that we impart on them and abused it.

Tip of the day: If you can't, or won't, look at both sides of an issue, you're not a serious person.

At Healthy Perspectives, we don't claim to be the judge and jury. We simply try to provide perspective to help people process current cultural issues through the lens of what we know to be real and true. Times change and reality changes but some truths carry on. We use those threads of psychology, sociology, culture and even theology that consistently run through every generation as a foundation to explore today's issues. In today's episode we rant about the people who believe and only consider one angle of any issue. It's never really that simple.

Tip of the day: Some things MUST be baked into the cake.

Bonus tip of the day: You are not informed.

Today we take a look at why systemic causes are important to notice. We take a psychological vantage as well as sociological and cultural. In the process, we try to paint a picture of how uninformed people really are when it comes to what is being baked into our cake, cookies and bread(not literally).

Tip of the day: Pull your head out of your butt

Today we take a look at what happens when you use ordinary solutions in extraordinary situations. Using extraordinary solutions in ordinary situations also becomes dysfunctional. This was inspired by the current cultural issues around deportation, boundaries, and a teenager murdering another teenager in broad daylight.

What happens when we flip a narrative to, conveniently, fit what we want instead of what is real?

Tip of the day: Incongruence destroys trust(truth, authenticity, and transparency)

Today we take a look at how all the incongruence around Elon Musk and the recent violence toward Tesla is harming the very mission of those who are doing the acts of violence. Believability requires truth, authenticity, and transparency. None of which is present in these terror like acts of violence. We also address what congruence looks like psychologically, sociologically, and culturally.
