HOW JESUS DISCIPLED HIS DISCIPLES.Matthew 28:19-20; 4:18-20 KJV For approximately three and one-half years, Jesus walked with His disciples, taught them, corrected them, challenged them, and prepared them to carry the Gospel to the world. He did not merely fill their minds with information. He changed their lives. The goal of discipleship is not simply to know more about Jesus, but to become more like Jesus. In this message, we examine how Jesus discipled His disciples and how we can become stronger disciples today. I. JESUS CALLED HIS DISCIPLES TO FOLLOW HIM Discipleship begins with a personal relationship with Christ. Jesus said, "Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men." Following Jesus means allowing Him to change our direction, our priorities, and our lives. II. JESUS TAUGHT HIS DISCIPLES TO LIVE HIS WORD Biblical information must become biblical application. It is not enough to hear the Word, study the Word, underline the Word, or discuss the Word. God desires His Word to find a lodging place in our hearts and become visible in the way we live. III. JESUS SENT HIS DISCIPLES TO MAKE OTHER DISCIPLES Jesus brought the disciples in so that He could eventually send them out. Mature disciples do not merely receive truth—they share it, live it, and help others follow Christ.Live on Monday what God taught you on Sunday.

Giving to the Lord needs to come from a heart that loves the Lord. He gives man breath and the ability to work. He has every right to demand the tenth of all we have. He loves man and wants man to appreciate His goodness to him.

Throughout the scriptures, the Word of God, it is taught that it is the person who believes, trusts, and looks to the Lord Jesus Christ who is and shall be saved from sin, death, and the devil. Even today the most important question that every person must answer is, "Dost thou believe on the Son of God?" (John 9:35). May the Lord bless His Word, giving hearing ears and believing hearts to those who come under the hearing of the gospel today. I have no doubt that when Philip preached the gospel to that eunuch, he would have declared this portion here to that Ethiopian. Because the Holy Spirit doesn't have recorded for us what Philip preached. It just says he began at the text, opens his mouth, and preached unto him Jesus. And what happens next? The eunuch says, there's water. What hindereth me to be baptized? What would hinder me to say I'm with him? What would hinder me to say that I'm a Christian? What would hinder me to say I'm saved? What would hinder me And Philip said, if you believe with all your heart that Jesus Christ is the son of God, you may. Amen.
