Welcome to the 6th episode! In this one, I have my good friend Ian Yoon with me today and today we primarily talk about topics relating to Asian Americans and living as an Asian person in the United States. We get in detail about topics such as the role education plays in the Asian society, Asian Americans in athletics (especially in sports like basketball and football), stereotypes and discrimination against Asians, growing up in an Asian household, Asian food and culture and many more! Although these topics aren't brought up extensively in the typical American society, I feel like conversations and discussions such as this is important to have with others who may be experiencing the same things. In this episode I have my very good friend Damascus Shields, A.K.A Dmac Shields on the podcast! Welcome to Episode 3! In this episode I have a good friend of mine Jack Brice as the guest! Jack is a college basketball player at Bethel College in Kansas and a Foothill High School alumni and truly one of the hardest working people I know. In this episode we dive deep into Jack's experiences from high school regarding basketball and some of the several hardships and adversities he has faced throughout the years. From being cut from the team in 8th grade, to not getting any playing time as a freshman, to being a junior on JV and then again not getting an opportunity to play in his senior year to now a college basketball player, Jack has truly shown how anything is achievable with hardwork and patience. We first talk about Jack's experiences from high school in regards to being a student athlete and then go on to talk about his transition to college and how that has suited him and finish up with a fun and amusing "speed round" comprised with different, random questions. Hello everyone! Thank you for tuning in for this week's episode! This one gets a little personal. In this episode, I talk about my past struggles, and problems I had in regards to my weight, body image, and my insecurities. I am making this episode for multiple reasons: to act as a reminder of how far I've come since the beginning but most importantly to also serve as motivation/inspiration to others who might be going through a similar situation as I was a couple years ago and also hopefully inspire them to get started on their own journey. In this episode, I start off by talking about the beginning and how I got to the place of being extremely unhealthy and overweight in the first place and then into how I started to lose weight and get in shape and finally a little bit about now and where my mindset in with my journey. I am planning to make a more in-detailed episode in the future where I dive fully into what my training philosophies and my training methods are and also talk about my current nutrition and diet so stay tuned for that!
