Only those who go through the gate of Jesus Christ, faith alone in Christ alone, will be in heaven. Jesus Christ is the gate. He is the way. He is the truth. He is life. “Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord will enter into the kingdom of heaven; but only the one who does the will of My Father who is in heaven” (Matt 7:21). “This is the will of the One who sent Me, that you believe in Me whom He has sent” (John 6:40). When you believe in Jesus Christ the door is opened and you walk into eternal life. Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose again. For you. He is with God the Father today. You can expect, with confidence, the same thing since you are in Christ and a member of God’s royal family. “We are confident, I say, willing rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord” (2 Col 5:8).
