Back at it DESPITE the construction noise in the back (we minimized it as best we could). This is a quick 5 min sit appropriate for anyone that needs to come out of their head, but only has 5 min.
Ah, Qi. What is it? Why is Terrence so disturbed by it? Why does Victoria always calm him down and soften his position? Is it Qi? It Qi real? And why can't we just say it's "energy". This and much more in this week's episode!
This is a short walking meditation that you can do ANYWHERE. You'll want about 6ft of space (more is also fine), and 5 minutes. You can stretch this one out longer if you desire, but the whole point is to get out of your head and into your body in a quick format.
Victoria and I talk all things Meditation: the how's, the what's, and most interestingly, the why's. If you want a primer on meditation, this is IT! Two people who meditate everyday explain the impact it has on their everyday lives. Enjoy!
A TCM inspired meditation where we move consciousness through the 5 major (yin) organs of Chinese Medicine. This one goes through emotions to find greater compassion and gratitude. Happy Monday!
Vic and I talk about the theory of the Five Phases (Fire, Earth, Metal, Water, Wood) and how you can look at personality types through this lens. We also go through an example of how to solve any problem you might face in life by putting yourself in the position of the Phases and working through it step by step. This week's meditation asks you to focus on the river of your thoughts, and to step outside of that river. Remember: if you can observe a thing, you are not the thing. Remembering that you are not your thoughts is a quick anti-anxiety medication.
Terrence and Victoria discuss the idea of Yin and Yang. This theory is one of the fundamental building blocks of Chinese Medicine (and a very trendy tattoo in the 90s), and one of the most misunderstood concepts in the canon. This episode marks the first episode of HM:TFM. We hope you enjoy!
Our FIRST meditation monday. This is a loving-kindness meditation. Find a place to yourself for 5 min, and enjoy!
