This weeks show is a very brief history of the battle jacket and its place in our culture, my interesting personal journey with them and tips and tricks on making them and choosing paches.
I may get a little snobby in the show but i did fight the urge off as best i could to be subjective as possible. Do come over to the Facebook page and share your jacket stories or photos

This weeks episode was a little shambolic in parts due to me being under the weather and my darling cat having to be part of the show, I also had some computer issues but apart from that, the episode is an emotional run through the latest release of giants of the extreme metal world Venom.Inc
If you feel brave enough here is the links for an interview i had with Tony Dolan before the launch of the album ( excuse my mic it for some reason failed and that why i bought a new one

Final part of my 4 part mini series diving into the mighty Black Sabbath this weeks ep is a little old school i go in note free and just have a jibber jabber on the heritage, the influence and just what the history of this most mighty of bands means to me and all of us. Really hoped you enjoyed it i know i enjoyed revisiting and thinking about the music history and the up's and downs of one of music's most mercurial acts.

Part 3 of this 4 part mini series on the mighty Black Sabbath has now come round to my Sabb everyone has their own period and album from the lords of darkness. And this one is mine i make no bones that this one might be a little biased but hey at least i'm honest about it. I got to full fill a life long ambition by interviewing Tony Martin a few months back for his new album Thorns.
But as i do it went on for a good hour and we covered a lot of Sabbath era stuff mostly Headless Cross and TYR. Here is the link for you to enjoy the interview and watch yours truly trying not to lose it with his hero. https://metal-roos.com.au/interview-ex-black-sabbath-vocalist-tony-martin-discusses-latest-solo-album-thorns/
It is also on Spotify if you just want the audio part of the interview.

So its the Dio years and i'm not going to talk about the obvious choice this time its a hard discussion around an album that is polarising in so many ways.
you may not like some of the outcomes but you also might really agree with me on some points either way come and join me on this dive into Mob Rules the second Dio album of note.

Right lets start at the beginning this months Sabbath month with what i consider the boys from Birmingham's most under rated and controversial albums. Each week for the next 4 weeks i will explore every era of this ground breaking Titan of modern music. So much to explore so much to unpack. What really was going on with the album cover and what is the underlying subtext of some of the greatest tracks of them all.

Come with me on my journey through the heavy side of Italian horror and the craziness of soundtrack collecting. My journey has been long and exciting and it all started it the 70's when i visited Dark They Where And Golden Eyed to the original Forbidden Planet in Denmark Street. Exciting journeys into film madness with my brother. Horror movies have always been part of my life and heavy metal and heavy themes are always linked from the crazy Video nasties to the weird and wacky and nasty Italian exploitation cinema.

Come with me and hear why i think the new WITCHERY album is a modern day blackened thrash album that is a prog rock wonder and a new twist on the concept album
Its deliciously free from the constraints of modern metal but with heaps of groove laden moments and some of the best industrial and Doom punctuations of the last few years.
