In the end of days, the nations are going to be judged. When that happens, the “head” of the nations, Babylon, will be judged. And when Babylon is judged, Jacob will be redeemed.
As Babylon falls:
Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will punish the king of Babylon and his land, as I have punished the king of Assyria. Jeremiah 50:18
Israel rises:
And I will bring Israel again to his habitation, and he shall feed on Carmel and Bashan, and his soul shall be satisfied upon mount Ephraim and Gilead. Jeremiah 50:19
When we receive Yeshua as our savior, His redemption is to cleanse us of our sin and, through the blood covenant, bring us salvation and bring us into His covenant family, the house of Jacob (Luke 1:33). Another part of His redemptive work is to redeem Jacob in the end of days and reunite Northern kingdom to Southern kingdom and bring them on a journey HOME to Israel.
Yet another part of His redemptive work is to FULFILL the covenant that He made with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: to give Abraham and HIS SEED the land of Israel.
The Messianic era is LINKED with the exodus from Egypt. The Messianic era is LINKED with a FUTURE EXODUS from Babylon and the exiles of Israel returning home to the land of Israel. We see this linkage in the verses below:
Therefore, behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak comfortably unto her. And I will give her her vineyards from thence, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope: and she shall sing there, as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt. Hosea 2:14-15
The future redemption will parallel the historical Egyptian redemption.
