Summary of Patterns/Principles:

1. The events that happened in the lives of the patriarchs are prophetic of what will happen to their descendants.

2. Biblical history is prophecy.

3. Example: Abraham went to Egypt, Pharoah took Sarah, then later sent her away. This foreshadowed that the children of Israel would go to Egypt, would be in bondage to Pharaoh, and then the God of Israel would deliver them.

4. Yeshua remembered His covenant with Abraham, and the Messenger of the Lord appeared to Moses at the burning bush (Exodus 3), and the same Yeshua is the one who brings the children of Israel out of Egypt. This teaches us that Yeshua WILL remember His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and WILL fulfill His covenant promises He made to Abraham and will end the EXILE of the 12 tribes of Israel.

5. Pharaoh sent Sara away at the time of PASSOVER season. Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed at the time of PASSOVER. Egypt was judged and the children of Israel were redeemed at the time of PASSOVER.

6. Isaac was born at PASSOVER. This is a prophetic foreshadow of the "miraculous birth" of the Biblical Zion nation during the end of days. All of these are prophetic foreshadows indicating that the END of the EXILE, or the BEGINNING of the Greater Exodus will begin at a future Passover.

7. Jacob's conflict with Esau is a prophetic of the conflict between the descendants of Jacob and Esau that continues throughout the generations. The time known as "Jacob's trouble" happens during the great tribulation. The tribulation is actually a battle between descendants of Jacob and Esau. This battle will include all nations. This conflict is finally resolved at the end of days, when the descendants of Jacob will no longer be in exile but will return to their ancient homeland.

8. Joseph was "sold" by his brothers. This is prophetic that the nation of Israel would be "sold" into the nations because they broke the covenant at Mt Sinai.

9. "Visit" is a code word for redeeming of the nation of Israel. Joseph told his brothers that the God of Israel would "visit' them. Moses told the children of Israel that the God of Israel was "visting" them and delivering them from the slavery in Egypt. Yeshua's first "visitation" was at Passover and He died on the tree at Passover. The God of Israel "visited" Sarah when Isaac was born. The miraculous birth of Biblical Zion triggers the end of the exile and the beginning of the Greater Exodus. Israel rises:

And I will bring Israel again to his habitation, and he shall feed on Carmel and Bashan, and his soul shall be satisfied upon mount Ephraim and Gilead. Jeremiah 50:19

When we receive Yeshua as our savior, His redemption is to cleanse us of our sin and, through the blood covenant, bring us salvation and bring us into His covenant family, the house of Jacob (Luke 1:33). Another part of His redemptive work is to redeem Jacob in the end of days and reunite Northern kingdom to Southern kingdom and bring them on a journey HOME to Israel.

Yet another part of His redemptive work is to FULFILL the covenant that He made with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: to give Abraham and HIS SEED the land of Israel.

The Messianic era is LINKED with the exodus from Egypt. The Messianic era is LINKED with a FUTURE EXODUS from Babylon and the exiles of Israel returning home to the land of Israel. We see this linkage in the verses below:

Therefore, behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak comfortably unto her. And I will give her her vineyards from thence, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope: and she shall sing there, as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt. Hosea 2:14-15

The future redemption will parallel the historical Egyptian redemption.

But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that the LORD doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel. Exodus 11:6-7

Yahweh “severs”, or makes a distinction. Here is the word in Hebrew:

H6395 פָּלָה palah to be distinct, marked out, to be separated, to be distinguished

As Yahweh did before, so He will do again. When He judges Gog/Magog for coming against Israel, and when He judges the land of spiritual Babylon, He will make a distinction between those who are His own, and those who are NOT His own:

Even during the period of the “united kingdom” under King David, they were not united in their hearts. There is a general consensus among the rabbis is that the 12 tribes are NOT united today. The rabbinic discussion is if they ever WILL be united.

According to Rabbi Eliezer (from the Talmud), “their darkness, (that is the 10 tribes of the North) will light up for them in the future.” The legal ruling on the matter is that the 10 tribes will return and be joined with the Southern kingdom (of Judah/the Jews). They believe that the 10 tribes will return and be joined with the Jewish people in Messianic times/in the end of days.

The Amidah prayer is prayed three times per day by the Jewish people. The 10th prayer is a prayer for the ingathering and return of the ten tribes from their exile:

FOR GATHERING OF EXILES:

Sound the great shofar for our freedom,

raise the ensign to gather our exiles,

and gather us from the four corners of the earth.
