This week the annual Torah portion cycle begins the fourth Book in the set, Numbers in the English, or Bemidbar (‘In the wilderness’) in Hebrew.
Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship for a two-part look at the parsha (Numbers 1:1 – 4:20) which gives the Book an appropriate name in BOTH languages.
The Erev Shabbat reading and outline of the parsha not only explains why, but ‘who’, and ‘how many’. But the key to understanding is to know those are just elements of the real lesson.
During the Sabbath day teaching this week, Mark goes into more depth on why “lift up the head” of EACH individual, each with a name, is such a better translation of the original Hebrew than any of the words He could have used instead that merely mean “count”. But it’s the connection with the haftorah reading, from Hosea chapter 2, and why that is such an excellent choice to be paired with “In the wilderness,” that should be of such great comfort to us today.
And it’s also a wonderful prophecy of what we should look forward to – as we return to being His people.
The combined two-part podcast is here:
We have been warned before about the level of deception to expect. And yet it still goes beyond what most are able to comprehend.
Still, however, that level of deception is not where we should focus. It is the opposite that matters as we ‘come out of her.’
It is becoming increasingly undeniable that those who serve the Adversary and ‘come but to kill, steal, and destroy,’ intend to do exactly that to all of us. There is an appropriate answer:
No you don’t!
Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship for a two-part look at Torah parsha “Bechukotai,” (Leviticus 26:2 through the end of the) and one of the two most dramatic sets of curses described in the entire Torah.
The Erev Shabbat reading and outline of the parsha includes those specifics, and is also an introduction of the Sabbath Day session`which again explores the question of ‘why?’ – and why NOW.
During the Sabbath day teaching this week, the theme builds on ‘what is the point of prophecy?’ with
No doubt about it, they describe AmeriKa-with-a-K today, and what is deserved. But what is far more interesting should be what they, and the admonitions and promises from related Scripture, teach us as those curses unfold.

Host Mark Call has long suggested that the “velvet glove” is off, and the Iron Fist of Tyranny once hidden within has been revealed. Lately it’s become undeniable that those who literally serve ‘the Adversary’ [HaSatan] truly do come but to steal, destroy, and now kill.
It’s not even just their unholy sacrament of abortion, either. They’ve already killed more young children with the Zyklon-B injecticide than the Fauci/Wuhan Flu ever did…and that was before deciding to extend the carnage to toddlers as well.
So is it any surprise that the Grave Dancers are out in force, trying to convince gullible, dumbed-down AmeriKans that, since Gun-Free Killing Zones have worked SO well for killing ever more kids, they not only want more of the ‘hair of the dog’, but aren’t even hiding their glee over the prospect of full Nazi-style gun confiscation.
And – what an AMAZING coincidence – it just so happens that this is the very same week they’re rolling out Plandemic 2.0, and the Booga Booga Pox.
It’s time to connect some dots. Because the choice really IS – life and blessing, or death and cursing.
The Culture of Death
Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship for a two-part look at Torah parsha “Behar,” (Leviticus 25:1 through 26:2) and some instruction “from har Sinai” – or Mt. Sinai – that is explicitly said to refer to WHEN you ‘enter the land.’
It’s also ABOUT the land, and that includes a sabbath year of rest for the land itself.
The Erev Shabbat reading and outline of the parsha includes the specifics as usual, but also a bit of explanation about that perhaps unusual difference in both the introduction, and the application. We understand by now that the claim that the “old testament” has been “done away with” is one of the Biggest Lies in human history — but what about this? Since we can’t do it anyway – does it still matter:
During the Sabbath day teaching this week, Mark again asks a question that might not seem to fit, but hopefully helps answer the one above: What is the POINT of ‘prophecy’?
The central message of this Torah portion has to do with trust. Do we trust in Him? Or in a world, and now, sadly, a nation, that detest Him, His Word, and no longer “proclaims liberty throughout the land.”
The combined two-part podcast is here:
The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but sometimes they should include humor. Or at least satire, lampooning, or even ridicule.
The level of Evil now manifest is so ‘beyond comprehension’ to most of us that, once we realize just how bad it truly is – the struggle is to avoid anger. Or worse. There is, and almost certainly will be, a time for that…but, especially when it comes to loved ones, or even just the terminally-clueless, another approach may be more effective.
Join Mark Call as he takes a look at how to deal with people who just won’t hear the Truth:
Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship for a two-part look at Torah parsha “Emor,” (Leviticus chapters 21 through 24) and, THIS week, what it means for the ‘cohenim’ or priesthood, to “be holy” — no, “set apart”, or qadosh — because He is. And it is, indeed, a higher standard.
The Erev Shabbat reading and outline of the parsha includes the specifics, from what they are to seek for wives to what NOT to do. And this portion includes a well-known description of HIS ‘appointed times’ (i.e., the REAL Holy Days) – and again makes clear that they are ‘forever’:
During the Sabbath day teaching this week, Mark asks a different question from the usual. Since His genuine priests are to be ‘set apart’ to Him, what does that say about a world where literally every aspect of His Word on that score is held in derision by most OF the world?
Doesn’t it seem ever more clear that there really IS a ‘priesthood’ of death that is not just set apart from any and everything associated with the Creator of the Universe, but that handles the Adversary’s very different — but obvious now! — sacraments?
And we had better be set apart from that. Especially if we understand what the Messiah has for us.

This week, it’s time for some Brainstorming.
“The nations were angry, and Your wrath has come…the time You should…reward your servants…
But it appears that such a prophecy is still a ways off.
Meanwhile, those with ‘eyes to see’ can also see the fruit. “They” really DO intend to:
It’s natural to be angry.
But harder not to be deceived, seek vengeance, and be destroyed in the process.
Here are a few ideas, “submitted for your consideration.”
Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship for a two-part look at Torah parsha is “Kedoshim,” (Leviticus chapters 19 through 20) and what it means that we should “be holy” — no, “set apart”, or qadosh — because He is.
And, conversely, why it means when a whole society has become “unholy”. Or, arguably, just set apart to a very different, far more Evil, ‘master’.
The Erev Shabbat reading and outline of the parsha includes the specifics, including some of the most famous (and, as the Messiah points out, at least SECOND most important) in Scripture:
The Sabbath day teaching begins exactly where the Torah portion ends, and current events show to be imperative: Be ‘set apart’ from WHAT?
And why would He AGAIN connect all of that with child sacrifice, and this time around, not only prohibited sexual practices, but outline penaties for them – including death?
And how can we – at the same time even? – rebuke our neighbor, “love” our neighbor, and not “stand idly by” his blood? There is certainly more to this parsha than we’ve been taught.
But most importantly, ‘for such a time as this,’ Mark suggests, is the Truth that is being revealed to those with eyes to see: The Evil that has been unleashed has also be Unmasked.
And we had better be set apart from it.
The combined two-part podcast is here:
‘When the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?’
This week it looks like even the Supreme Court is ready to admit that the longstanding Big Lie about the sacrament of abortion is just legal BS. And those who prattle about a ‘right to choose’ — death to kids at least — while they infringe and throttle actual God-given Rights that aren’t just emimations and penumbras are shrieking like demons who lost their ticket to Kiddie Porn Mountain in the Majic Kingdom.
Meanwhile, Scary Poppins is proving that Orwell was right, if a bit optimistic, and AmeriKa’s Most Successful Whore EVER is showing that her deceptiveness is exceeded only by her hubris.
And it all makes the same point.
It has never been more vital to reject Evil, choose life, and speak His Truth. And do it now, because this can’t last much longer.
