Let us examine the biblical terminology often called “First Fruits” or “Bikkurim.” This terminology is often confused with another ceremony called the Omer Wave-Sheaf offering, more accurately referred to in biblical parlance as Reisheet Katzir – Harvest of the First Cutting of the Grain.

"First Fruits" is about the scriptural festival of Shavuot or Pentecost. The timing of the festival was understood from Leviticus 23:15-16 and based on two different points of view.

* 1. The House of the Pharisaic Separatists performed their wave sheaf offering of freshly cut barley on the 16th day of the first chodesh or month. The 16th came to be called Day 1 in the 50-day count of the Omer. Also, their counting of seven weeks of Sabbaths began during the Festival of Matza (Unleavened Bread).

* 2. The House of Tzadok performed their wave sheaf offering of freshly cut wheat on the 26th day of the first chodesh or month. The 26th came to be called Day 1 in the 50-day count of the Omer. Also, their counting of seven weeks of Sabbaths began at the end of the Festival of Matza (Unleavened Bread).

These two conflicting counts are easily resolved in a study of the timeline of Yeshua's 3rd-day resurrection (Matthew 28:1, Mark 16:1-2, Luke 24:1, John 20:1) and 40th-day ascension (Acts 1:3).

The chronology of both events is played out based on the following  timelines:

* The 19th Day of the 1st Month ("Aviv" or "Nisan") after Yeshua’s Sabbath resurrection to the 28th Day of the 2nd month is 40 days (Acts 1:3)

*  The 26th Day of the 1st Month ("Aviv" or "Nisan" = Day 1 of the Omer) to the 28th Day of the 2nd month is the 33rd Day of the Omer (Acts 1:9 - Lag B’Omer).

* The 2nd Day of the 2nd Month ("Iyar") to the 15th Day of the 3rd month (Shavuot or Pentecost) is the morrow after 7 Sabbaths (Leviticus 23:15-16).

David Justice and Mark Call discuss the news and major 'Truth eruptions' for the week ending 7 July, 2023, and hopefully encourage those who still understand just how important it really is that we have that love of the Truth, and His Word.

This podcast is a bit longer than usual, because of an extension of the conversation that Mark and David had after the outro music rolled for the live show...

A summary of news and events for the holiday-shortened week ending 7 July, 2023.

What was once literally unthinkable, as in "it could NEVER happen here," is now subsidized by a totalitarian state that makes the Tyrant King George III of the American Revolutionary era look reasonable by comparison. We've almost gotten used to "grooming" of pre-pubescent children in the Public Cesspools en route to their sterilization and eventual self-destruction. And this week even a WasteStream news outlet ran video of traitorous "Border Patrol" agents CUTTING THE FENCING on private property on the border of once-free Texas with Mexico, in order to allow invaders better access to the conquered land.

People with "eyes to see" are outraged. Those drinking the Kool-Aid, or the Bud Lite, have already had "their delusions chosen for them.

And:

"Outrage is NOT Enough"

Catching up with a double Torah portion as well as a report from Revive. Balam and Balak give us clues to a war every generation will battle. The righteous one in their crowd is the donkey! We need those with the same spirit as Pinchas to rise up in our generation. No time to site on the sidelines. Time to engage!

News and commentary for Wednesday, 5 July, 2023.

America once showed the world what a republic based on "self-evident Truths" and an understanding that real Rights come from our Creator could accomplish. Only a few years later, the French Revolution showed us what the converse looked like.

And now the French are again warning AmeriKa where the path we are treading leads...

For Monday and Tuesday this week, it's arguably more important to take a look at the news, and historic events, that are being ignored than current events in a world that is self-destructing in no small part BECAUSE it has ignored "self-evident Truths."

So since this is Independence day, we'll look at what host Mark Call has frequently called the most important document ever written ORIGINALLY in the English language, the "unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America."

Mark welcomes the Common Lawyer, Brent Winters, who points out up front that it's less a "Declaration of Independence," from the British Empire, and more a statement of DEPENDENCE on YHVH, and His 'Divine Providence, Who is referenced in the document no less than four times.

Special guest Brent Allan Winters information may be found on his website:
