“…I was a bit taken aback because when my daughter is at school, her teacher is responsible for her. I do not homeschool, and cannot control my daughter when she is not in my presence….”

Huh? That’s not how I was raised….

Government has a vested interest in seeing the family fall apart. Agencies and professions benefit greatly from families that break up, or were never whole; lawyers, social workers, Big Pharma, often ultimately the penal system. Government exerts more control and influence over children of busy, harried, single parents. And of course they have programs ready to “help”.

If we’re voting GOP because we’re convinced that all our problems will be solved by another four years of Trump, we’re missing the point. If you believe Joe Biden is the source of all of our problems, think again. Politicians reflect our values, they don’t form them.

Maybe another term of Trump can improve the economy somewhat, but if all we want is lower prices on our  “bread and circuses”, while continuing to turn away from God, we’re missing it.

We are “calling good evil and evil good” in America, and that goes much deeper than the person occupying the White House.
