This story is about Colene who as a little girl experienced almost every form of abuse imaginable. She spent her 16th birthday in a group home before starting her sophomore year of high school in foster care. After her second abusive marriage nearly ended her life, she fled to a domestic violence shelter with her 5 kids. Colene's journey to freedom includes many facets of counseling, safety planning, pattern changing classes, self help books, bible school, mentoring, public speaking, working with victims, abusers and a ton of baby steps. Now she mentors victims coming out of abusive relationships and sexual assault. What message do you get from this interview?

This story is about Allanah who experienced a vast decline with her mental health - nothing worked, and no one knew what was wrong with her. She felt inspired to go to a psychiatrist where she was diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). Then a new hurdle of questions- how to live life with this disorder, how did she get it, and more importantly how can she help others with this disorder. Allanah is currently editing her own novel where the main character has BPD because she needs people to know that they aren’t alone, they can live successfully, and they are more than a diagnosis or label. This story is about Stefanie who had a sister unexpectedly go into a coma June 23, 2022. She was able to be there for her for 5 weeks as she was in her coma and ultimately transitioned on. Losing her sister was the hardest thing Stefanie has ever gone through and also one of the most beautiful experiences. She realized how much she was still holding on to her through her grief and is now honoring her more when she embraces the grief and chose to work as a life coach to help others.
