Heights Church

We’re beginning a new series this week, titled Inside The Circle. Throughout this series we will see that we have been given everything we need in order to live victoriously - it all comes down to the way you drive your life.

Because of our redemption and salvation in Christ, we have already won the race. We’re inside the circle, taking our victory lap -  celebrating the victory we have received.

What a blessing to spend Easter together and we are amazed and overwhelmed by the things that God did all throughout the weekend and by the things He is still doing. The stories are flooding in of the ways that God moved within each individual heart and of the ways people encountered Jesus. This is something worthy of celebrating!

If you’re like us, there have been many moments when it seems like God is silent, leaving our prayers unheard and unanswered. For the last week of our series “When you…”, Pastor John talks about these very moments. What now? God didn’t do what I wanted…

The outcome of our prayers don’t determine our view of God. The true miracle isn’t in the healing, it’s in the moments when we trust in God, even though things don’t go the way you want. This week we are building our trust in Christ and clinging to the truth that is found in him.

Don’t miss out on a great message from Pastor John as he shares with us how the perspective you have of God will shape and determine the prayers that you pray. The good news today is that we serve a God who hears our prayers and who isn’t limited by our prayers or views of his vastness.

We're entering into the second week of our 21 days of Prayer & Fasting. This week we have a special emphasis on prayers of intercession.

Through the person of Jesus we are able to have unlimited access to our creator and we believe that being in communion with God is something we can celebrate and share. It is through prayers of intercession that we are able to bring the people we know to the God we love, surrendering them to the loving care of our Lord and Savior.

If you're like the rest of us, oftentimes it can be difficult to rejoice always and to give thanks. It might feel like there isn't much of anything to be thankful for.

When you approach God with a posture of thanksgiving, you surrender your own needs and see the character of God; a loving, caring and gracious Savior. By creating a foundation of thanksgiving, you open the door of opportunity to see God with an entirely new perspective. You will see that even here, amidst your circumstance, you can rejoice. Even here, the Lord is good.

We began our new teaching series on Prayer & Fasting and we can't wait for what's to come. If you’ve ever wondered about the purpose and practice of prayer and fasting, this week’s message is for you!

Starting NEXT MONDAY we are stepping into 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting as the Heights family. Before then, we wanted to begin this time with a week of intentionality. Our hope is that you take this time to review your own motivations and understanding on prayer & fasting.

What if you are plan A when Jesus says I will build my church? What if the church is not about an institution or a building, but a gathering for people for a special purpose?

Check out this message and hear the challenge that pastor john has for us from the teachings of Jesus.

When Jesus said, “it is finished!” Then bowed his head and gave up his spirit", a new course of life and identity was ignited. From that moment, a new purpose was created in each of us and the trajectory of eternity was forever changes.

If you weren't able to join us this weekend, we invite you to explore with us how the sacrifice given translates to our own lives and how we can walk in the redemption that Jesus has given us.
