Welcome to Heirloom Radio and my third episode of Vic and Sade…. The initial 2 tracks of Vic and Sade are on this Podcast and contain a detailed history of the program. If you would like to know the history behind the series, please check out one of the first two episodes entitled Bacon Sandwiches and Smelly Clark’s First Big Date respectively. These are in the Vic and Sade Playlist. This track contains two more episodes back-to-back from April and May of 1940.
These shows are so unique and clever they were considered a "Landmark Series" in radio. Broadcast from June 29, 1932 to Sept 19, 1946... most of the series was heard 4 to 5 days a week in 15 minute segments. Art Van Harvey plays Victor Gook, Bernadine Flynn is Sade Gook and Bill Idelson is Rush Gook, their adopted son. Dialog is what it is all about... and that is all this show needs! Paul Rhymer was the creator-director of the series. Listen here, on Itunes, or Google Play Music. Just search the "Podcast" list for "Heirloom Radio" Thank you for listening.
