While around 42% of South Africans have funeral cover, it is concerning that only 10% of South Africans reported having life cover. This is according to the Financial Sector Conduct Authority’s (FSCA) 2022 Financial Sector Outlook Study. Luke Nel, Head: Protection Solutions at Metropolitan Life says a funeral policy may not be enough to leave the right kind of legacy but there’s still time to consider both funeral and life cover. “While both serve to protect your beneficiaries in the event of your passing, they address specific needs and should ideally complement each other in a comprehensive financial plan,” he says. “Too often we find people depending on life cover for funeral expenses, but it just doesn’t work that way.” Life insurance and funeral cover play complementary roles in safeguarding the financial future for your family, business, and community. While funeral cover means you won’t have to derail your dreams in tough times, life cover can help you stay focused on the legacy you want to leave behind. 📻 93.6fm | 💻 helderbergfm.co.za | 📱 WhatsApp 021 100 6936
