One kid asked, "Is Santa claus real ?"
That reminds me today is a Chirstmas eve.
Yes, today is the thirty second times Christmas eve for me.
Did I believe Santa claus in my childfood?
I started thinking about it, then it pulled up one old memory, which happened on the Christmas day.
You might remember there was the time when all over the kids in Japan are pretty much fascinated that, mustache guy came out from the sewage pipe, or stomping on mushroom and turtle monsters.
At that moment , I had been wishing, really really wishing.
I don't mind you combine birthday, Christmas and New Year money pocket all together. Please , please give me Nintendo!!
Although it took several day to persuade my parents, they finally decided to make my wish come true.
I really don't know my family was well of or not, however, that must have been a big gift for them.
On that day I was in my dad's car, went to the store and received Nintendo from the store owner, he was actually my dad's friend. I clearly remember that, even now.
The town was already dark, I saw snowflakes falling with shallow light from the toy store.
The box was silver , a bit big for me at that time. I was really, really happy from bottom of my heart.
There was no Christmas-feel warmness, nor pure-boy who believes Santa claus.
You might feel a bit too realistic if you see me at the moment.
A long later, the grown up me thinks like this.
My parents were definitely happy when their son got what he really wanted.
I thank to my parent, a lot , since then I took extra care for my Nintendo. Every time I store it in the original box, I kept it even the box was terribly torn.
But for my parents, those moment must have been precious, happy, joyful for them.
If the Christmas day is the day to re-assure the bond between you and someone special, or the day thank to being happy , on that day, Santa clais did came to us.
He left us a present, that each of us could feel happiness.
So tonight, few decades later from that day, I was born in this family, spending 32 years together ,
and still now feeling not bad, it was all about the red mustache guy who came out from the sewage pipe spontaneously.
I was not a believer, but if I have a chance to answer the question, I would say "Yes there is a Santa claus."
Because I know that night, you will have a special , happy moment. Here is Christmas for you. Merry Christmas.
