On this episode of "Help! I've Lost My Voice!" we discuss the need for the separation of powers and checks and balances in the government. We also discussed how the actions of Trump, Musk, and DOGE have violated the separation of powers and how Congress and the Supreme Court are failing to properly exercise their checks and balances on the Executive Branch.

On this week's episode, we discussed the free exercise clause of the first amendment. Specifically we discussed what the limits are for a person's free exercise of religion. Once conclusion we came to was that a person's freedom of religion ends when that freedom starts to take away someone else's constitutional rights.

On this episode of Help! I've Lost My Voice! We discussed the establishment clause of the first amendment, which states that "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion...". We also discuss how legislating or using executive orders to make a certain religion's beliefs into laws is a violation of the establishment clause.

On this week's episode, we discussed climate change. Specifically we tried to counter some of the arguments that we've heard from climate change deniers on why they don't think climate change is real.

In this episode, we discuss a few of the things that the US Department of Education does as well as what some of the consequences would be of dismantling or otherwise crippling the Department of Education. We also discuss student loans and the problems with trying to privatize the loans as President-elect Trump has said he wants to do.

In this episode, we discussed President-elect Trump's cabinet picks. Trump's selections are very clearly political favors for those who have been most loyal to him. Even though it has often been done the same way in the past, it does beg the question: Why can't we have a president who will select cabinet members based on experience, expertise, and qualifications instead of loyalty to the president?

On this episode, we talk about reactions to the presidential election, our reactions and reactions that we've seen from others. We also briefly discuss the Electoral College and why it made the election seem less close than it actually was. Finally, we talked about what we think people should focus on after the election, being kind and helping others, especially marginalized groups.

Even if we don't like the results of an election, it's important to accept the results, especially once all legal challenges are exhausted. Continuing to insist that an election was stolen when there's no evidence is bad for everyone. If there are issues with the voting system, we should try to fix them, not just fight about them.

On this episode we discuss both major presidential candidates' proposed economic policies and what effects they would have on the economy, including inflation, cost of living, the housing market, etc.

Since election day is rapidly approaching, we figured we should probably take this opportunity to talk about voting. We have the right to vote, but we should also remember that we have a responsibility to vote to make our voice heard and that we should accept the results of the election even if it doesn't turn out in favor of our preferred candidates.
