I was always taught growing up that equal opportunity in education already existed and that every student in America had the same opportunity to succeed as long as they put in enough work. I later learned how wrong I was in believing that. More needs to be done and the solutions exist.

As promised in the previous episode, we're discussing the presidential debate between Trump and Harris. Since it has already been widely discussed, we tried to focus on things that haven't been discussed as much, including the missed opportunities from both candidates.

Crazy things have happened in the realm of politics since our last episode, so we decided to talk through some of the craziness and try to find some calm in the chaos.

Neither major political party has or really even cares about a real solution to immigration. The far left wants fully open borders and the far right wants fully closed borders. As usual the solution involves compromise and working together.

We were planning on discussing other topics this week, but we figured we needed to discuss the recent felony conviction of former President Trump, in particular the hypocrisy of both sides relating to the discussion of the justice system following the verdict.

In this episode, we explore the importance of listening to the experts, even if they're occasionally wrong.

The caucus and convention system and the primary elections exclude people from the voting process, either intentionally or unintentionally. Open primaries and having all presidential primaries on the same day could be solutions to the problem.

The biggest lie that Americans are being told by the two major political parties is that it has to be one way or the other. There is another option: compromise.
