The universal testimony of both Scripture and the Church through the ages has been to oppose the use of birth control. And yet, even the most conservative churches in our country have completely embraced it and consider child-bearing and contraception to simply be a question of stewardship. I hope our conversation today is challenging, helpful, informative… but mostly, I hope it strengthens your faith. There’s nothing quite so wonderful and scary as bringing a child into the world. It’s risky, and therefore terrifying. But God gives grace for the work, and there are joys you will never know apart from the work - and pain - of raising children.
