Sheetz announced a "Truck Diesel Price Rollback" March 6 that will extend through March 31 and offer truck drivers a discount of 25 cents per gallon on diesel fuel when they swipe their My Sheetz Rewardz cards at participating Sheetz truck stop locations, including the one in Sandston. Henrico County’s triple AAA bond ratings have been reaffirmed by Moody’s Investors Service, Fitch Ratings and S&P Global Ratings. S&P Global, Moody’s and Fitch Ratings reviewed Henrico’s finances and visited Henrico in February, ahead of a planned sale later this month of 1.4-million in general-obligation bonds by the county. A bill that will establish Virginia’s first “green bank” passed 57-40 with bipartisan support in the House Monday. The bill, SB 729, creates the Virginia Clean Energy Innovation Bank, which is a government organization that speeds up clean energy projects through public funds, grants, loans and other financial methods, Kimberly McKay, legislative fiscal analyst for the committee said. Virginia inmates may now be shielded from arrest or disciplinary actions related to alcohol, controlled substance or marijuana if they seek or report emergency medical attention for an overdose under a bipartisan bill that passed the General Assembly. Two people were arrested and a third remained on the run in connection to the murder of a Henrico County teenager. Aidan Christopher Cameron, 18, of Henrico County, was found with gunshot wounds behind an apartment building along the 1600 block of Lakeside Avenue on February 26, 2024, according to police. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. Jaiden Akiva-Nadir Fowlkes, 18, and Diamond Chrishell Henley, 21, both of Henrico, were later arrested in connection to the crime.
