Riggle, Roger Bennett, Sr., 90, of Mechanicsville, formerly of Highland Springs, went to be with the Lord Saturday, December 23, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd S. and Irene Bennett Riggle; his sister; and three brothers. Peggy Jane Carson Jack, 83, of Richmond, went to be with the Lord December 19, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred Jack; and her pawed friends, Pixie, Bozo, Monty, Jeffy, Jinny, Emily and Angus. She is survived by her feline companion, Chico; and her many friends. SANGSTON, Ann Shirley Johnson, died peacefully at home on December 19, 2023 after a short battle with cancer. She was born September 16, 1939, in Clarksville, Virginia. She graduated from Bluestone High School, Radford University and earned her Masters in Education from Longwood. She began her career as an English teacher in Henrico County where she met her husband of 55 years, Jim, when teaching at Douglas Freeman High School. Barbieri, her parents Armando and Catherine Zamparelli, and her brother Thomas Zamparelli. New charges have been filed against a Crewe man and woman accused of shooting and killing a father in the parking lot of a Henrico Whole Foods in September. The charges, police say, have to do with the fact that the children of the suspects were in the car at the time of the shooting. The victim, Julian McClenny, a father of two, was shot to death after sources tell CBS 6 things went south after he was asked for money by the suspects. In a sweeping report released last Monday, a state commission recommended changes to Virginia’s decade-old “bed of last resort” law and urged the state to put greater pressure on private hospitals to accept patients under commitment orders. Officials are investigating what sparked a two-alarm fire at a Henrico apartment building on Christmas Eve. Firefighters were called to the Landmark at Gayton apartments just before 1:30 p.m. on Sunday. Fire crews said a father and his three kids were trapped on the second floor of their apartment.
