Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan (VA-04) will host a town hall Sept. 6 at Reynolds Community College. The event will be held from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the school's Lipman Auditorium at 1651 East Parham Road. McClellan will be introduced by Reynolds Community College President Paula P. Appalachian Voices will host a new art exhibition, “Environment at Risk,” at the Gumenick Family Gallery of The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen, beginning Sept. 14.   “Environment at Risk” features paintings, drawings, sculpture and art installations from more than 40 regional artists inspired by the natural world, and showcases the impacts to local communities and ecosystems from environmental threats. Henrico Police officials announced that two people from Crewe, Virginia have been arrested and charged with second-degree murder and other charges in connection with a shooting outside the Whole Foods store in Short Pump Sept. 2. Deontae Marquel Winston, 33, and Katoya Brown, 35, were arrested Sept. 5 and each charged with malicious wounding and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. Second-degree murder charges were added late Wednesday after the victim, 30-year-old Julian Leshon McClenny of Drewryville, Virginia, died. Deep Run High School The Wildcats’ football team seems to have brighter days ahead of it and will build off of the confidence made in an absolute shootout versus Atlee (1-1), where the Cats fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 42-35. Motorists can expect lane closures and shifts through early November in Varina at Darbytown and Turner roads as crews install a roundabout at the intersection.
