Wanda Faye Yates, 73, of Sandston, Va., passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023. She was born on February 11, 1950 in Richmond, the third child of the late Roland Eacho, an army veteran with a purple heart, and Elizabeth (Johns) Eacho. Faye was a devoted wife and a loving mother and grandmother. A 21-year-old Richmond woman was shot and killed in the early morning hours of May 19. It happened in the 3400 block of Howard Road, near Ratcliffe Elementary School, at about 3:40 a.m. When Henrico Police arrived, they found Diamond Renee’ Cox on the ground outside an apartment building suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
