A juvenile male allegedly shot another in the 1500 block of North Parham Road, near Regency mall, Wednesday afternoon. The shooting occurred just after 2:40 p.m., and Henrico Police arrived to find one teen injured. They detained another and are not seeking anyone else in connection with the incident. The injured teen was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Henrico County officials April 3 celebrated the 100,000th vaccination conducted at Richmond Raceway. The milestone moment happened more than two months after efforts began at the complex. Henrico Police are seeking the public’s help to locate a missing Henrico teen. Fifteeen-year-old La'Fae Franklin last was seen Tuesday near the Harvie Road-Laburnum Avenue intersection, walking along Laburnum toward Creighton Road, according to witnesses. She lives in the vicinity of Henrico High School, several miles from where she was last seen. Franklin is a Black female, about 5 foot 3 in height and weighs about 120 pounds. A 2019 graduate of Randolph-Macon College who holds an annual fundraiser during Sexual Assault Awareness Month is looking to double her proceeds this year and donate them to St. Mary's Hospital. Katelyn Jordan of Richmond was sexually assaulted during her freshman year at RMC, and went to St. Mary's for treatment. Jordan noted that following an assault, victims will sometimes seek the services of a forensic nurse for a PERK examination. Henrico reported 57 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, according to VDH data. After a slight increase last week, cases seem to be following a slight downward trend, with the seven-day moving average in Henrico reaching 70 new cases reported daily.
