The Virginia Department of Health is implementing a new statewide pre-registration system online for the COVID-19 vaccine Feb. 16. In preparation for its launch, all local health districts in the state will shut down their pre-registration (or interest) forms online Feb. 12 at 5 p.m. No one will be able to pre-register between that time and the launch of the new statewide form, VDH officials said in a statement Friday. Henrico County schools would get up to 7 million in state funding this year and 8 million in 2022 under House and Senate budget plans now under consideration. Henrico County reported 110 new cases of COVID-19 Friday, according to the Virginia Department of Health. The county’s seven-day moving average of new daily cases reached 128 and has continued to drop since its spike in mid-January. There were four new hospitalizations related to the virus in the county, falling from a spike yesterday of seven, according to VDH data. There also was one new virus-related death in the county.
