I don't know who needs this reminder but when we fall on hard times, why do we still fear? Why do we still doubt? Hasn't God proven himself enough to us?

Many people, even non believers can pin point at least one moment in their life where God provided for a need almost miraculously. Those who don't believe in God call them "moments of luck". As believers we know God to be in control of all things. He is our heavenly father, protector and covering. He proves himself to be good to us all of the time; yet somehow we still forget what is possible in Christ the moment new issues and struggles arise.

How quickly we seem to forget all the small and BIG ways, God proves himself to be true and loving towards us. If God is righteous, is he not the same God yesterday as he is in the days to come? His consistent unfailing love for us exceeds what we can even imagine.

If you have struggles remembering his goodness and if you are still being held captive by the lies that are intrusive thoughts, this episode is for you!

  • You Are NOT Broken; You're Having an Awakening

If you enjoy this podcast, sign up for weekly newsletters & episode sneak peaks!

Welcome back to all the loyal Her Authentic Self Podcast listeners. This episode is an emotional one for me because of the vulnerability needed to share my personal struggle with living an anxiety filled life. I pray this episode helps women release shame and guilt when it comes to their mental health journey. I also hope this episode serves as a reminder to all the independent anxious girlies, that they can not do life on their own.

Listen as I share the awakening I needed to realized that I am not the controller of all things, nor can I always solve my own struggles. For all the moments that I can not control, and the anxiety filled situations that I can not run from, God will provide the peace and lifted burden that I need to remove anxiety from my heart.

If you would like to hear a breakdown of how culture defines anxiety and how the bible instructs us to navigate anxiety in the world, this episode is for you!

  • Gratitude....You Get To Have It All

If you enjoy this podcast, sign up for weekly newsletters & episode sneak peaks!

Welcome back to all the authentic girlies this season. I felt in my spirit that we all need a 2025 pick me up as the year kicks off. We need reminders of all that God is capable to do in our lives and all we have to be grateful for, even amid the moments in our faith where we feel confused and lost. As the year begins I'm shifting my focus from what I'm loosing to all I have to gain in Christ.

This episode is a break down of me finally being more comfortable in my purpose and my calling. 2025 we are not playing small anymore! We are taking up space, speaking life and encouragement; sharing the gospel of all God truly wants to do for his children.

Overall the message for this episode is that, God would not mismanage your life! He is a loving father and he wants you to live abundantly! If you currently feel like you are constantly being mismanaged, ask yourself if God is in your life. Where do you stand with Spirit? Do you allow yourself to walk with God? Are you practicing daily gratitude for all God has already provided and most importantly, do you believe that you get to have it all & you DESERVE it all!

If you enjoy this podcast, sign up for weekly newsletters & episode sneak peaks!

What better way to welcome in 2025 than with a new Her Authentic Self Podcast season. Welcome back listeners.

Season 4 represents spiritual transformation, even more difficult conversations and increased honesty. I wish I could start off the new year with a lighter discussion, however I felt a tug at my heart to be raw and open this episode, giving a first hand look into the struggles and lessons I'm currently experiencing as I seek to grow closer to God in ways I haven't been before.

This episode is for anyone who's ever felt frustrated by a lack of openness in the Church. This episode is for in-perfect people looking for answers when it comes to their faith but can't seem to find sources or people willing to have tough conversations about their personal struggles with Spirit, what they learned and how they overcame. It does not get more real and more honest than this!

Tune in to hear how I broke down earlier this week feeling like "maybe God's expectations are too high for me", and to hear my internal struggle with earthly pleasures and what God does and does not want us to indulge in.

  • Red Flag or False Alarm? Biblical Understanding of Forgiveness and Reconciliation

If you enjoy this podcast, sign up for weekly newsletters & episode sneak peaks!

I have not forgotten about my amazing listeners! As the year quickly approaches an end I plan to drop either 1 or 2 more episodes mapping out prayers and goals for the new year and ending with gratitude for all that God has done and continues to do.

In this episode I share a subject that I know God is working on within me.
It took me a long time to understand that my efforts of protecting myself were actively going against God's promise to me, which is that he protects all of his children.

This episode is for those who lean avoidant, and those who deem every uncomfortable situation or moment as a red flag. God used a specific moment in my life to show me that in order for Spirit to take me to the next level with this podcast and in my life generally, I'm going to have to learn to lean into discomfort rather than running from it. I'm learning to ask myself what moments require forgiveness and reconciliation as oppose to running away from everything that hurts me. Spirit helps me dive deeper into transformation that can truly occur when you apply the lesson God wants for you to learn from the pain you feel.

This episode is for you, if you've ever had internal difficulty with when and how forgiveness and reconciliation should look in your own life.

  • Epigenetic's & Generational Trauma

If you enjoy this podcast, sign up for weekly newsletters & episode sneak peaks!

As the year is wrapping up, I wanted to share with the Her Authentic Self audience all the significant transformations God has been doing in my family. Prayers I've been saying for years that have finally been answered in the simple awareness I'm starting to see in my mom. Most of my life I prayed that my mom would be open to seeing and hearing the ways her actions or lack there of, have negatively affected me and my siblings. Recently she finally sat me down and told me everything I needed to hear, everything that God has been exposing to her about our family.

In this episode I share some scientific information about the very real implications trauma during pregnancy has on the genetic effects of an unborn child. Studies show Epigenetic inheritance from maternal trauma is very real and even being studied across multiple generations. Not only have I seen this to be true first hand in my family but also open discussions with my mom have shown me aspects of myself that I wasn't aware had passed down from my mom, her mom and so forth.

Spirit spoke to me about the need for prayer over familial bloodlines and how as children of God we need to command certain generational curses end with us! In order to make lasting change that effects generations to come in your family, it's important to to be aware of the ways negative mindsets that may be present in you and passed down from family members in the past.

Because of God, no matter what generational darkness has existed in our family's, we can still be encouraged that epigenetic's and generational trauma are not predetermined in our lives. We have the power through Spirit to create a new story and overcome trauma passed from bloodlines.

  • Shadows; Can You Truly See Yourself?

If you enjoy this podcast, sign up for weekly newsletters & episode sneak peaks!

I know this message is going to help the girlies out there because so many things got in my way this week and almost stopped from posting this episode for you all. Everything from sickness, overstimulation, exhaustion and mental/emotional overwhelm with family members and coworkers  really brought me down however I'm not going to let any of those things hinder what Spirit is using me to do and the people God wants me to reach with this message.

Glory to God that even in the storm, he reminds me of what I need to truly feel balanced and get back to what feeds my soul. In this episode you'll hear me share a passage from "Beauty in The Stillness" by Karin Hadadan on the past, present and future version of ourselves and how the differing timelines of our lives truly make us whole. I also share a glimpse into my past sense of identity; low self esteem and inability to see the God given value within me. Towards the end of the audio you'll also hear me share the important lessons I'm learning in therapy about relationship projection and the woman I DON'T want to be. All in all, this episode is the raw authenticity and vulnerability of my current journey, to show anyone experiencing similar discomfort that they are not alone.

God see's you, I see you and I pray this message will have a lasting impact on your healing journey. Amen

  • Growth & Healing; Inside Look Into Anxiety, Isolation & Answered Prayers

If you enjoy this podcast, sign up for weekly newsletters & episode sneak peaks!

Sometimes the pride and joy you gain from your healing/emotional progress makes you feel like a failure when you see those old ways of thinking start to re-surface in your life. This idea we create in our minds that our journey towards growth should be an upward trajectory is not only false but can be very detrimental to our psyche. Until we learn that healing is a continuous process, both messy and beautiful, we wont be able to acknowledge that peaks and valleys are what make us human.

In this episode I share what my process looks like going back to therapy, the ways I've had to transform my thinking, give myself grace and trust that both progress and anxiety flares can exist at the same time.

Tune in to hear the lessons I'm learning about overcoming anxiety, how I maneuver feelings of loneliness/isolation and reminders of God's promises that say, his Spirit is always with us, no matter how far we go.

  • That's NOT Wisdom

If you enjoy this podcast, sign up for weekly newsletters & episode sneak peaks!

Of course, this wouldn't be Her Authentic Self Podcast if I wasn't being totally and completely honest about my personal walk with God and what Spirit has been showing me that I need to improve as I get closer to him. Recently at church I heard the same message twice on what it looks like "overlooking offense" on how to "bridge the gap with love". And as most people do, I thought to myself...I already heard this message, so that means I know it fully. I know the passages in Proverbs that we're going to go through and I know what God has called me to do when it comes to overlooking offense....

This level of naivety is how I think most believers choose to maneuver their walk with God. We think we know the word, we take the notes, we pray and we seek his presence so we also assume that we are fully right with God; however the moment a difficult life encounter comes up, suddenly we're reacting out of anger and pride, looking more like a representation of the world, than we do a representation of God and his love.

This episode is for anyone who wants to choose wisdom, rather than ignorance. It's for anyone that doesn't want to be the type of Christian who thinks they know the word, but isn't actively applying it in their life when it matters the most. This message is not for anyone to feel shame about the ways they have failed God's spiritual tests in their lives, but it is to serve as a reminder and accountability that we are actually living out God's wisdom, rather than just acting like we are.
