It’s a brand-new year and whether we like it or not, the page has turned. Maybe there are things that you lost or left behind either by choice or because you were forced to. Maybe a new year doesn’t feel exciting for you and where you’re at.
For some, the blank slate is scary. It’s a reminder of all the things you haven’t accomplished, all the things you’ve yet to do, all of the ways you feel you’ve failed and just don’t measure up. Sometimes life knocks us down and forces us to start over… and that can be frustrating, and disappointing.
We feel behind. We compare ourselves to what others are doing and how it seems their lives are playing out. We feel as if we’ll never catch up, much less get ahead.
We’re left wondering "what's next?", "where do I go from here?", "who am I now?", "why is this happening to me?”. These moments can leave you feeling vulnerable, exposed, and all alone.
What do you do when you find yourself in a ground zero moment? When you have the choice to either do nothing or rebuild? What happens when your world is shaken up, torn apart, or completely changed… and you’re left in a haze of wondering if you’ll ever feel like yourself again–if you’ll ever make progress forward instead of always feeling behind.
If you’ve ever been there, you aren’t alone.
This season of Her Pursuit is all about New Beginnings… we’ll explore what the bible says about laying a solid foundation for your life so that you can remain firm regardless of what’s thrown your way. We’ll discuss how to take steps forward when you feel like you’re starting over and we’ll explore finding yourself again through knowing who you are in Christ.
Starting over doesn’t have to be scary or intimidating. Could there actually be beauty in seasons of new beginnings? With new soil and fertile ground, there’s so much to learn here, so many ways to grow, and I’m excited that we get to do that together.
This new season is coming January 18th, so make sure you subscribe right now so you don’t miss an episode!
